"You're not alone" S1E8

Rikki:

Emma and I go get sleeping bags from the corner of her room that her mom put out earlier. I lay mine out and she does the same.

Emma-" We can lay in my bed if you want.. only if you want to though. Theres enough room for the both of us to lay down" she says in a hesitant voice.

Rikki- "ok" I get up from the floor and Emma holds my hand to help me up. I get into Emma's bed and for a moment we just lay there next to each other.

That's when I feel Emma's hand brushed up against mine. I feel tense but in a good way. I brush my hand next to hers.

Emma moves from laying on her back to laying on her side towards me. "

Emma-" I don't know what to do. I know how I feel about you Rikki. I don't want to live in a hole I want to be able to be myself and not hide it."

Rikki-" Hey.. hey, you're not living in a hole, finding yourself and figuring your sexuality can be a lot on someone, you're not alone."

Emma is looking up at me her head is resting on my chest now, her eyes swell with tears, tears start to poor out of her eyes.

Emma-" I feel wrong- I fee-"  She's shaking uncontrollably and sobbing.

Rikki-" Em there's nothing wrong with you, look at me if we're going somewhere we're going together. I want to to remember that ok I'm here for you"

Emma and I sit in silence for hours as I watch her, I'm playing with her hair. I make sure she falls asleep before I do.

I spent to rest of the night trying not to move unless it wakes Emma. I can slowly feel myself zoning off. Then I fall into a deep sleep.

[The next day]

Emma:

Me and Rikki wake up to the the biggest knock at the door. It's my mom.

Lisa (Emma's mom)-" Can I come in I've made breakfast in bed for you two. Eggs and bacon" I shake Rikki up.

Rikki"5 more minutes" she says in a sleepy voice.

Emma-" it's my mom she wants to come in"

Rikki-" oh shit"

She  quickly gets off the bed and gets into her sleeping bag. That's when I get the door.

Lisa (Emma's mom)-"Emma! I was worried I would spill the food, the treys are getting heavy ."

Emma- "Thanks mom" as I grab of the treys.

Lisa (Emma's mom)- "ll leave you two to it! Emma just make sure to put the dishes into the dishwasher."

Rikki-"Food yum!! Awe see your mom has all ready warmed up to me" says Rikki as she gets out of the sleeping bag.

Emma- " Rikki thanks for staying up with me, It's just everything is new to me, you're new to me" I say with a smile.

Rikki-" Everything will work it's self out I promise"

Emma- " Do you maybe want to go to mako me and you" I say.

Rikki-" Sure, let's finish eating first"

Emma-"yeah of course!"
