The girls and... Lewis are have a sleepover tonight except Lewis has to sleep on the couch downstairs with my dad. The full moon has already happened a few times before and tonight it's happening again.
Lewis- "hey girls I brought over everything to keep you guys distracted from the full moon. Agh let's see I have moives, I have brought cardboard to board up the windows, and I've got bandannas for you guys to wear just in case."
Rikki- " is all the stuff really necessary though?"
Emma- " well, I mean you were under the influence of the full moon when you went to Mako.. and that one night Cleo could actually sing."
Lewis- " but that leaves Emma, nothing on the full moon has happened to her."
Cleo- " that means Emma needs to be extra careful tonight"
Emma- " it'll be fine I'll just not look outside how hard could that possibly be?"
Rikki- " fine but you'll need to sleep next to me tonight"
Emma-" nothing new"
[Later in the night]
Rikki:
Everyone's finally asleep. Lewis is down stairs sleeping on the couch. Me and Emma are laying next to each other on the floor. Cleo's on the other side of her bed in a sleeping bag.
Only me and Emma are awake we are just looking at each other. I run my fingers lightly over her face. I play with her hair.
Emma- " I'm going to use the bathroom I'll be right back ok"
Rikki-" okay"
Emma:
As I open the bathroom door through the window, I see the moon. It's glaring back in my eyes. That's when I run downstairs and jump off our dock Lewis saw me exit the house. I must've woke him up so he wakes the other girls up then they end up finding me on the building dock near the water the three of them standing over me.
Emma- " beautiful isn't it?"
Cleo- " yes it is"
Rikki-" really both of- it's beautiful the ocean at night"
Lewis- " shit shit shit. How did this happen really you guys? I mean I know how Cleo and Rikki they followed me but you, Emma I thought you were more responsible than this." He whines sarcastically.
Cleo- " follow me to mako Lewis I really like you"
Lewis- " you like me?"
Lewis:
Shirley what Cleo is saying could just be the effects of the full moon. But a part of me wonders does she actually like me? Or is she just saying all of this because she's under the influence of the full moon.
I mean the three of them all act crazy and say all sorts of weird stuff when they're in a trance.
Lewis- " come in it's nice inside guys"
Cleo- " but it's better out here being inside is so boring on a night like this you know"
Emma- " yeah it's nice out"
Rikki- " Lewis you're being super boring"
The three of them are looking at me from the boating dock their tails are fully exposed.
Lewis- " I hear there's a bunch of lobster and sardines, and a bunch of other fish food inside come on I can show you if you just come back inside"
Emma- " LOBSTER AND SARDINES?!!!"
The girls immediately followed me in the house I hurry and shut the doors.
Lewis- " so everything is upstairs in Cleo's room.. yeah"
They all run up to staircase and go into her bedroom.
Emma- " where's it at?"
Lewis- " see the thing is.. there's actually no lobster.."
Emma- " what are the sardines?"
Lewis- " look you guys are under the influence of the full moon you're not thinking clearly here. All I'm saying is it's dangerous being out late like you three were. If someone saw you.. like last time you know the scientist."
Cleo- " Dr. Denman?"
Lewis- " yes her"
Cleo- " ..."
Lewis- " look I think it's best that we all just take a nap. The ocean will be there tomorrow you know ."
Rikki- " Lewis you're being unreasonable"
Lewis- " ME?!!"
Rikki- "YES LEWIS"
Lewis- " ME? UNREASONABLE?"
Rikki- "come on let's go to mako"
Rikki, Emma and Cleo all leave her room and go into the ocean and swim to mako.
[The next morning at the moon pool]
Cleo:
Lewis-" you're finally up the other two are still asleep"
Cleo- " where are we"
Lewis- " last night.. let's just say all of you fell under the effects of the full moon and I figured you would be here at mako I've been waiting for you guys to wake up"
Cleo- " oh, was it really that bad"
Lewis- " Cleo last night you said something to me and I was wondering if what you said was true"
Cleo- " well whatever it was I'm sorry it was probably just the affect of the full moon sorry if I was rude or anything"
Lewis- "no no it's not that..Cleo you said you liked me"
Cleo- " oh?"
Lewis- " well is it true do you like me"
Cleo- " I didn't mean for you to find out this way"
Lewis- " well you know how I am I can be pretty clueless sometimes."
For a moment me and Lewis look at each other. His hand inches near mine. Then our eyes meet, he looks down at my lips.
I look down at his lips our heads are nearing each other. He brushes my hair out of my face and kisses me. The kiss last for about ten seconds before we both pull away.
Lewis likes me back and it feels normal it feels right. Despite the fact that we have know each other for such a long time. I didn't ruin anything between the two of us it was a mutual feeling.
Lewis:
Cleo- " yeah I do like you Lewis"
Lewis- " I like you too"
