Incoming Call S2E11

Emma:

I've decided that I don't want to tell anyone that I'm moving to travel the world with my parents. Mainly because I don't wanna break them. Besides, I wanna enjoy the last two months that I have with Cleo, Lewis, and Rikki. I want to be able to enjoy what time we have left together.

I don't want them worrying about me. They don't need to worry about me. I'll be OK. Everything will work out. I'm gonna miss the Gold Coast though.

I'm going to miss swimming over mako island. I'm going to miss my daily schedule. I'm going to miss jogging on the beach. I'm going to miss late night swims over Mako Reef with Rikki.

I don't know when the next time I'll be able to swim will be. For now I'm going to enjoy everything. I'm going to live in the moment.

Since I'm going to be on a cruise ship in two months I won't have the opportunity to be able to openly swim it's sad, but it's true. We will stop at some countries, I still don't know how long we will be stopped for.

Or even if I have the opportunity to go on my own and swim. I still can't believe this is happening to me, and that my parents are separating me from my friends and my girlfriend. I know I said to myself that I wouldn't but the guilt is tearing me apart .

I have to tell someone. I think that someone will have to be Cleo. I know it'll crush Rikki. I wish I could tell everyone but now isn't the time.

Cleo:

[ beep beep*]

I get up out of my bed. I was currently in the middle of journaling. I get up and look at my phone. It's an incoming call from Emma.

Cleo- " hello"

Emma-" I need to tell you something. I need to get it off my chest I can't take it anymore. I need to tell someone.

Cleo-" Emma you're scaring me is everything alright?

Emma- "what I'm about to tell you is classified information and I don't want you telling Lewis or Rikki actually don't tell anyone at all."

Cleo-"what is it"

Emma-" so my parents have been talking about taking this business trip. Except it's not actually your trip. We're going on a cruise ship."

Cleo-" omg that sounds like so much fun. Let me know how it goes. Just make sure not to use any of the waterslides for obvious reasons you know. Just be extra careful is all I'm saying."

Emma-" no no I'm not excited about it at all actually. It means I'm gonna to be moving..."

Cleo-"oh."

Emma-" basically, my parents found out"

Cleo-" about?"

Emma-" me and Rikki they know now"

Cleo-" and I'm assuming they didn't take it well, by though I'm moving thing"

Emma-" yeah they weren't happy at all. I just don't know what I'm gonna do or how I'm gonna tell Rikki. I guess that's what I'm most worried about."

Cleo-" I know you really love her I'm sure you two will be able to call and everything"

Emma-" that's the problem they are going to moderate how much I use my phone and who I'm texting and calling. They made it very clear that they're going to constantly check my calling log."

Cleo-" you can always use my phone."

Emma-" thank you. But it just won't be the same as being able to call Rikki whenever I want to."

Cleo-" Emma I know you won't wanna hear this, but you're going to have to eventually you tell her"

Emma-" I know."

Cleo-" when are you guys leaving? If you don't mind me asking"

Emma-"in two months"

Cleo-" but that's just right before our last year of school. Why couldn't your parents wait just a little longer?"

Emma-" they have been planning on leaving for a while I guess and they are now after everything went down they want to go"

Cleo-" but you going to come back right?"

Emma-" that's the thing I'm not going to come back"

Cleo-" just know I'm here for you Emma"

Emma-" thanks for listening Cleo"

Cleo-" no problem."

Emma-" talk to you later."

Cleo-" bye"

Emma:

So now she knows now. Cleo knows that I'm moving and not coming back to the Gold Coast.
