home is a time not a place

When life feels like the seconds spent between seeing you,
My heart finds its solace in your strong arms,
Positioned just so that it can feel yours beating in return,
Across oceans and miles,
Plane tickets and fields.
My heart finds its home in you.
You're the last breath i take before i fall asleep,
The first morning ray of sunshine to tickle my eyelids,
And the silence buzzing in my ears.
I feel your touch through caressing wind blowing by
And see your face in the smiles of flowers I pass.
Home is the place we've built together, and the seconds grow sweeter
With the promise of you.
