in spring the waxy, weathered feathers of winter
are shed for warmer tones. The sun shines,
brighter
Beating down on the frozen wasteland that winter leaves.
Leaves of trees finally returning, as washes of color
Return to the skies. It's finally cloud watching season
Where you can lay on your back for hours until deep
Dusty dusk. Ducklings return to the pond, and baby birds
Chirp in the trees. Perennials are in full bloom, tulips kiss the grasses
and dance with hyacinths and pansies.
All is well on the first day of spring,
Where gentler sunbeams warm my face and i can finally
Enjoy this beautiful earth.
