a/n: im spoiling you guys with these double chapters ;)

I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking, which was strange because my bedroom was the farthest from the kitchen. I got out of my bed and went to go downstairs but realized that there was fire. Fire everywhere.

I heard my name being called and saw my mom. "MICHEAL RUN!" she screamed, being engulfed by flames. I knew I needed to find Lizzy and Evan so I began to search quickly.

I heard more screams and found the two of them huddled close. "We can't get the window opened," Evan cried. The flames blocked us inside of Elizabeth's room. I tried with all my might to get the window opened, but it was no use.

I crumbled next to my siblings and held them close. "Mikey," Evan whispered. "Mikey wake up."

I opened my eyes and saw that I was in my bedroom, breaking out in a cold sweat. Mom and Evan were huddled above me, a thermometer in my mom's hands.

"What happened?" I asked, my voice low because it was the morning.

"I came to get you up for school, but once I heard the news I let you sleep," Mom smiled, brushing my hair out of my face. "And you're running a fever."

I sat up slowly, despite my body not wanting me to. "What news?" I asked.

Mom and Evan exchanged a glance before Mom started talking.

"Five kids were last seen at Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria last night," Mom said. "You two were the last people who saw them." I sat back in bed, rubbing my eyes.

"Really?" I asked, suddenly remembering the yellow bunny. "All me and Evan saw was a man in a yellow bunny suit talking to them."

"That's what Evan said," she smiled. "Well, we'll let you rest in peace. I'm sure they'll find those children, they couldn't have gone too far."

"Love you," I mumbled, feeling tired already.

Mom smiled, but her eyes looked sad. Almost as if she was missing something. "I love you too," she said, closing the door softly.

I turned over and went back to sleep.

*****

I woke up to Elizabeth screaming. It was annoying.

"I WANT WAFFLES!" she screamed. I could tell I must have only been asleep for 30 minutes, since it was still morning.

I heard her scream some more and decided that was my sign to get up. I changed into sweatpants and a tight fitting shirt, and ruffled my hair. I began to walk downstairs and Lizzy's screaming was easier to make out.

"Elizabeth, you can't have waffles because we don't have waffles," I heard Mom trying to reason with a 7 year old and that's when I knew she lost her mind. "Pancakes are basically the same thing."

"NO THEY AREN'T!" she yelled, stomping her feet.

"Elizabeth please be quiet before you wake your brother up-" she sighed. Just then, I walked into the kitchen and saw the fight. Evan was sitting at the bar on a stool, Elizabeth was screaming on the ground, and Mom was leaning against the bar.

"I'm awake," I said.

Mom turned to me. "Sorry," she apologized.

"It's not you who should," I shrugged, "Lizzy what do you have to say?"

"I WANT WAFFLES!" she screamed again.

"Well- that's not exactly an apology, but I'll take it," I said, sitting down next to Evan.

"She's been going at this for ten minutes now," Evan said, twisting his knife in his pancakes. "Would you like some?" He offered me one of his pancakes.

"I'm not hungry," I said, which I meant. I felt disgusting right now, and food was the absolute last thing on my mind. Evan shrugged and took a bit of his pancakes drenched in syrup.

Lizzy continued to scream for another five minutes before she woke up Dad and got sent to her room, which she slammed the door behind herself. Dad took a pancake before exiting through the door to the garage to go to work. Mom cleaned up the kitchen while Evan finished up his meal. I forgot to ask Dad about the bunny suit, but I knew I should keep my mouth shut with everything happening.

"Micheal, you should go take a shower," Mom sighed, finishing cleaning the bar. I nodded and headed back upstairs to the shower, thinking about that man in the yellow bunny suit.

I thought of the five kids I saw. They were around Lizzy's age. Two girls, three boys. There was a girl with blonde hair and a girl with brown hair, almost black. The boys had brown, black, and red hair. One of the boys reminded me of Lizzy. I'm glad that she wasn't taken, but at the same time, it would be so much quieter without her around.

I got out of the shower with not another thought about them. I knew Evan probably thought he could've saved them some way, but we didn't even know if the yellow bunny suit person was responsible for their disappearances.

I went downstairs and sat at the tv, watching it until I dozed off from my illness.
