Dunk couldn't believe his eyes as he woke up to the shadowy silhouette of Joong beside him. He snapped his fingers, hoping that it wouldn't wake Joong up. His vision cleared for a second as he saw Joong in all of his glory, naked beside him. He covered him with the blanket and made sure he was comfortable.
"Just as willful as you were two millennium ago." Dunk huffed in soft whisper before giving him a peck on his cheek. Dunk stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Joong whispered Bai loong (white dragon).
Was Joong regaining his memories?
He went through his morning routine and freshened himself. He closed his bedroom door softly trying not to wake Joong up. Phuwin was making breakfast while Pond was drinking his coffee at the dining table. Dunk had nervously rubbed his neck with his right hand. He sat down at the table as Phuwin served them their breakfast. He had noticed the hickey on Dunk's neck. He couldn't stop the small smile from gracing his face. Pond had mirrored Phuwin's response.
"You think we can cancel the trip to Suzhou? I'm happy with how things are going right now." Dunk said softly as they ate their breakfast. He didn't see the need to jog Joong's memory since they are now together. All he wanted was to spend his last moment with Joong. It didn't matter whether he was Hei Loong, the Crown Prince of the North or Joong Archen Aydin, the international model. All he wanted was his soulmate by his side.
"No, we should go." Phuwin persisted. Pond nodded his head.
"Don't you think it'll be too cruel to him if he remembers after you are gone? Give him the chance to say goodbye at least." Pond said solemnly. Dunk nodded as he remembered how things ended two millennium ago but he was afraid that this trip was more than what they bargained for.
"What are you all talking about?" As Joong walked out with a towel on his wet hair. Dunk's heart was thumping as he wondered how much he heard of their conversation.
"Oh, nothing. I was asking Dunk to say goodbye to his colleagues before we go on our trip to Suzhou." Pond hoped that Joong bought his reason. Joong had only nodded in response before giving Dunk a sniff kiss to the cheek. Dunk had blushed at his open affection.
"ohoo~~ are the two of you finally together?" Pond teased.
"Are we, teerak (darling)? rao bpen faen gan, shai mai (we are boyfriends, right?)" Joong asked before kissing the back of Dunk's hand. Hei loong was bold but Joong Archen Aydin was much more bolder than him. Dunk couldn't stop the blush from rising from his neck to his face. He had nodded despite knowing the risk of acknowledging it. He didn't know if it was selfish of him to take on the risk of breaking Joong's heart when the time comes. Joong had squeezed his hand when he noticed that the sad look on his face when he was deep in thoughts. Dunk smiled at him as he caressed Joong's face. He promised to buy as much time as the Gods were willing to give him.
