It was a flurry of activities when Dunk's family caught wind of the news that Dunk had woken up. They had come in pods to not overwhelm Dunk. It was only by the fourth or fifth day did the activities die down. Joong looked towards the pavilion as Dunk spoke to his father. He witnessed as father and son reconciled after eons. They had hugged each other and laughed like old times.

Joong felt a little intimidated when Dunk's siblings arranged a reunion dinner at their place. They had even invited his father, the Shadow King and his mate. Not to mention, they had brought their mates, children and grandchildren along. They were loud and boisterous.

He could see their fathers having a quiet conversation. The Shadow King and his mate, Prem and Boun had fitted right in as they clicked with Dunk's third brother, Boss. The kids were curious about Dunk, the elusive uncle/ grand uncle that most of them had not met. They had dragged him away, so Joong was on his own. Pond had chuckled at how lost Joong looked. He elbowed Phuwin, who smiled and tried to save Dunk from the kids. Dunk had laughed when he was back at the table. He had forgotten how loud and chaotic his family was when they band together. They were a large pack after all.

Dunk had managed to sneak away with Joong when they didn't notice.

"The moon is beautiful tonight." Joong said as he hugged Dunk from the back and placed his chin on his shoulder. Dunk hummed his agreement. There were many questions that Joong had been burning to ask Dunk, so he did.

"I still don't quite understand. I didn't die nor did I reincarnate. Why did I forget about you?" Dunk sighed.

"It is traumatic for the soul to be reduced to its purest form. That was the only way I could transport you to a place that you'd be safe. You weren't meant to be in that form for long but I was too weak travel. Phu had taken ages to find a temporary cure. By then you had latched on to the closest life form, I'm guessing you came in contact with a human. Quite lucky if I have to say. Essentially it would have felt as if you reincarnated without memory." Joong nodded in understanding.

"But why didn't you ask Shadow King for a cure?" Dunk had smiled to his question.

"The phoenix blood wasn't meant for me. It was for Boun. Prem's mate. The Shadow King's mate I meant. He was in a bad state then. Worst than me. I had wondered why he didn't use it until he told me that introducing him to that eccentric shaman, ghostface was more useful than the phoenix blood. I had not thought much about it, since I introduced them before we parted. Does that answer all your questions, my dear crown prince?" Dunk teased.

"No, I have one more. Will you stay with me forever? Marry me? " Dunk had chuckled at his question.

"Yes, my prince. Yes but it's all a dream. How would that be possible? Aren't you taking on your duty as the crown prince once again?" Joong shook his head.

"My father will take on the duty as king and my cousin, Bright would support him if he wished to step down earlier than expected." Dunk nodded.

"He is waiting for your brother to take over then?" Joong's eyes widen at Dunk's speculation.

"I would recognize the arrow of purity anywhere. I have travelled wide. Your brother isn't dead. He is back to his purest stage in life so I assume it would take a while before he grows up once again." Joong smiled at Dunk's assessment. The benefit of being a wanderer who had travelled wide. The knowledge he has was without bound.

"You are too smart for your own good. So, do you want to live your life out as Bai Loong or going back to being Dunk Natachai Boonprasert, the international model? We are living in a parallel world after all. It would seem that we haven't been away for more than 2 weeks." He asked as he laid a kiss on his neck.
