After finishing his report and a file consisting of Alto Clef, Jack rested his head on his chair for a while, closing his eyes and let himself drown in his own thoughts. I haven't been alone ever since I woke up in this world. There are always eyes wherever I go, and eventually, I'll get tired of all of this, again. What a vicious cycle.

"Doctor Jack?" He opened his eyes, watching as Avery entered his office.

"Oh, it's you." He took out a black folder. "Burn this as soon as you finish reading it. It's about him." He stole a small glance at Daniel and James who was in charge of keeping watch today. He knows that they don't know much unlike the twins.

Avery hurried reading the file, keeping herself composed but was shocked at seeing what was written inside. "I-I see. Thank you for this, doctor. This is my only memento of him other than my ukulele, so I don't think I can just burn this. I think I can keep this somewhere else." Her face held many features of Jack's comrade, but her behavior was nothing like her parents.

"You can call me uncle if you like." He flashed a cheeky grin.

"I was about to ask that but you ruined it! Now I don't wanna call you uncle!"

"Oh come on, it would be fun!"

"Alright, uncle. How was your first mission?" He was taken aback by the question. She would have heard about it already. Why even ask me? "Come on, weren't you supposed to be my uncle?"

"Eh, it was mediocre. Could be more fun though. Hey, by the way, what are the benefits of our clearance? I can only see Level 0 to Omni-level."

"The clearance grants us access to every single door available, but we're still not privy to the higher ups' secrets. We can barge in on one of their meetings and not get killed, we can act on our own without the need to report to the higher ups, and most of all, we can cause as much chaos as we want and be forgiven."

"Suspicious."

"I know, right? I thought so too when I was first given my clearance. I have a theory that the Level 6 clearance is a clearance given to Thaumiels. I can't be certain, though. There are only two of us who owns one, and there are 5 Thaumiels in total. Excluding me, of course, since I'm not classified as an SCP." Say, how did she grow up in this world? Did she grow up with a happy family?

"I guess that checks out. Does that also mean that we can just go outside at the mall right at this hour?"

"Yeah, I guess. Wait, what are you planning?" Jack stood up and pulled her out of the chair. "Give me a warning before doing something like that!"

"Catch up, you two! Let's go!" Jack dragged her to the nearest mall, followed by his current bodyguards.

As soon as they enter, they noticed that the mall was a bit quiet. Perhaps it's currently work hours and the only ones here are those that are unemployed, skipped school, the mall staff, and those that are in vacation.

"What are we even doing here in work hours?" Jack let go of his niece and let her take in the foreign atmosphere. She usually came here after work hours, so she felt more relaxed with lesser people around.

"Who cares? There's almost no one around, just enjoy while it lasts."

"I guess. I guess so."

"Do you need to buy anything before we go buy what I need?"

"You led us here. We don't have anything to buy, right boys?" The two bodyguards had no choice but to nod. "See?"

"Fine. let's go to a hardware store first, then we go to a grocery store. Oh yeah, I have a fridge in my office, it's almost empty." After they arrived, the three followed him around like a duck.

Even though it was his first time, he sped across the aisles like he knew the place for a long time. While checking for a bike chain, he noticed some new and weird devices that he never saw before, that can only be achieved by testing SCPs. Like slimy bike tires, unwired gadgets, non-electronic microwaves, speedy washing machines, wallet bagpacks and etcetera.

While searching for pasta noodles, he also discovered new food and spices. He noted to himself that he should explore this world as much as he can. Meanwhile, Avery bought herself some food to restock her fridge.

After the shopping spree, they rested for a while in the food court. Poor James and Daniel, having to carry their heavy stuff.

"Uncle, you bought some weird stuff for yourself. What are you gonna do with those?" He flashed a smile, a smile that indicates something horrendous.

"It's a surprise! You're gonna see tomorrow." The three of them were left with no choice but to wait for the upcoming disaster. Both bodyguards took their orders and went to different stalls to buy their food.

"By the way uncle." She coughed, making Jack startle a bit. "Where is your brother? Isn't he supposed to be here with you?" He froze, his mind running with multiple questions. Right, where is he? Isn't he supposed to be immortal?

From 4chan here, doesn't seem like there's a man named Jack Bright or any other person named Bright in this dimension.

Is it to be trusted?

Where is he?

What happened while I was dormant?

Did he get thrown in a different dimension?

Is he in hiding right now?

Is he alright?

How come I forgot about him? I'm so clumsy. What if- no. That can't be. He's immortal, plus he can heal himself. He's fine.

He has to be.

"Doc, are you okay? Your order is here? Hello?" He snapped out of it, seeing their worried faces.

"Oh come on, it's just auto-pilot here and there. You know, gotta do that sometimes." The two DTFs calmed down and took a deep breath, but Avery knew better and frowned at his actions.

"I'm not that stupid, uncle. You don't know where he is, do you?" This guy, really. So unlike her parents. He dipped his finger in ketchup and booped her nose with it.

"What the- uncle!"

"This is one of the times where you're supposed to feign ignorance. You're gonna grow old with wrinkles if you don't stop poking your head in other's businesses!" He lectured as he poked his fork on his fries.

"But uncle-"

"Shhhh, good vibes only. Let's talk about this later." They ate happily as Jack shared his new experiences earlier, with the rest of them teaching him about this world's history.
