"Come on, Rach, we're gonna be late out there for training." I groaned trying to get Rachel to hurry up, I don't care if we're late, Rachel's normally the one there early but I don't want to do the laps which follow being late.

Luckily, it's not a proper training session today as we had a match yesterday, today is just us having a recovery session then doing 'team bonding' after, we're so lucky theres a chill room for that sort of stuff there otherwise it would be a nightmare. Let's be honest, though: I would never ever volunteer my house as tribute.

Soon enough, it hit 9 and me and Gemma and I were trying to hide from the horrendous ice baths. Once you're in, it's not terrible, but it's the anticipation leading up to it. Also, we just don't like the thought of sitting in bins filled with ice. Like, what if it was once a black bin? Maggots would've been in those.

Just as we began turning the corner Rachel and Jenna found us, Jenna grabbed Gemma's arm, while Rachel used one hand to grab mine, the other to grab the back of my shirt making sure I could've run away like I normally do.

"I don't want an ice bath." I complained. "They're just so cold." Gemma added unhelpfully.

"Really? I never knew that. It's not like it's got ice in it's name is it Gemma?" I sarcastically replied which caused Rach to smack me round the back of the head, her hand leaving the back of my shirt for no longer than a second before holding it tighter than before.

"Be nice. Gemma can't help being a scary cat." Gemma groaned at that while I laughed at her. A couple minutes later, we reached hell zone.

Ice baths. My worst enemy. The one place I would do anything to get out of. Hell, I'd kill to not get in an ice bath.

We all got in our individual ones and set a time of ten minutes. We all kept talking in an attempt to ignore the freezing cold, I suppose what didn't help with that was me and Gemma smashing each other from our bins.

After the longest ten minutes of our life, we jumped out, got dry, and changed before meeting up with the others in the chill room.

We all have no idea what we're going to do here, but I suppose we're making it up as we go along.

"Rach. What do you want to bet I can be an amazing goalie when I'm older like you?" I asked out of the blue, which caused half the team to burst out laughing.

"Old? Like me? I'm not old."

"... that's besides the point. Can we try? Pleaseee." I say, trying to move on from oldies words. She speaks like a proper oldie sometimes.

"Fine." Rach said as she grabbed two beanbags and placed them a small distance apart before grabbing Gemma and Sofie.

"Alright, if you think it's so easy, Gemma and Sofie are going to take shots at you. You have to save them all."

"I got this. I'm hurt by your lack of faith." I replied, getting ready to move.

Sofie kicked the ball first, and I jumped to the right managing to hit it away before going back to the centre where Gemma was ready to kick it. Fortunately for me, I was in the centre, so it hit my stomach, and I wrapped my arms around it, falling to the ground with a thud.

I know some of the girls are recording this, so I've got to ring my A game.

The kicks kept going for a while, and I was jumping and diving left right and centre.

"You know what. I'm doing alright at this." I said, chuffed with myself as I saved another one.

"Trying to take my spot as number 1?" Rachel teased me as I laid on the floor with the ball in my arms.

"Well, I'm still young, but when you're older, you move further back. One day i'mm move to midfield, then defence. Then, one day, I'll become a goalkeeper, maybe." I paused for a second before continuing after saving a ball. "So I have to start those skills up while I'm young."

Everyone laughed again while Rachel raised an eyebrow at me. "You saying being a goalkeeper's easy?"

"Have I ever said that? All I've been doing is rolling around on the floor, killing my back and hands. It's not easy, but one day, I could be a better keeper than you if I keep this up."

After another five minutes, I gave up and stayed on the floor, tired frome the constant jumping and diving on repeat.

"uhhhh. I'm tired now."

"Now you are?" Rachel laughed at me. "You've been doing this twenty minutes. I do this for 90."

"Congratulations, want a medel?" I asked sarcastically, part of me wanting to get a rise out of her.

"Yes, please, a gold one if you will." She joked back.

Instead of moving, I stayed on the floor, dozing off to sleep while Rachel dragged me to the sofa to get me more comfy and give me a cuddle.
