If there's one thing I hate more than anything in the world, it's storms. I can sleep through them, don't get me wrong, but if I can't sleep before the storm, then all I can hear is the pitter patter of the rain, then I can't sleep at all.

I also know Laia is terrified of storms, I don't know why to be honest but whenever theres a storm she'll stay away the whole night and sometimes she'll even ask if we can watch a film in my room, tonight is one of those nights.

Laia somehow managed to convince me to watch the 100 again, I love the series, just not the heartbreak in it.

"As soon as we get to season 3, i'm done just so you're warned, Lexa deserved better, so im on strike and living my delelu life until she's back." I warned Laia, she knows this already though, I tell her every time we end up watching the series.

"I knowwwww (Y/n/n), you say this every time, and I understand, Lexa was one of my favourites, I just think Bellamy is better for Clarke."

I slowly turned to face her in shock, im sure I had a look of horror on my face. "Bett... better than Lexa, are you mad. I don't know you anymore. This is betrayal of the highest order. How could you." I say whispering angrily.

"Bellamy is hotter." She said with a shrug.

"Dude... have you seen Lexa she's way better and hotter." I argued back.

Just as Laia was about to respond lightning struck outside (A/n Guys what noise does lightning make?) which cause her to let out a large shriek and pull MY blanket towards her even more meaning I was left with a little bit on my last toe.

"Hey, you realise we're be okay, like did you know that statistically a giraffe is more likely to get hit so before we die like 10 giraffes will die." I say with a small smile, trying to help.

"... you think that makes me feel better!" Laia said, her voice going a bit more high-pitched as she got herself more worked up.

"Hey Laia, look, it's a badass Lexa scene." I responded trying to get her mind of one of her worst fears, Im not sure if she would agree but she's raided my bed, raided my snacks and taken my blanket so i'm going to say it is.

I waited five minutes in silence before I got more bored, "Hey Laia. Wanna play uno?" I asked, I wouldn't say I was bored of watching the 100 but I know the plot of by heart so I was a little bored of the show, what I would do to rewatch it for the first time.

"Sure?"

"Awesome, I already have the cards ready." I quickly responded, which led to the multiple close calls, and my ability to stay calm slowly decreased.

"It's not fairrrrr, this is the fifth one in a row you've won." I complained, Laia is way too good at Uno like she's won every game ever except tonight where she's lost once.

"Im just too good, I guess, but it's fair you get to humiliate me in training whenever it's back on, so either tomorrow or the day after."

"Fair enough... HA take the 4 suckerrrrr." I say, pausing slightly before having a slight celebration on the fact that I have fewer cards.

"Then I guess I have to block... then reverse... then block and reverse again." Laia said, saying her steps as she placed the cards down, leading it back down the last 2 cards of hers while I only had one left. I have so won this.

Laia ended up placing a red 1 down.

"Agh dang it, I don't have a red..." I complained, acting annoyed before I suddenly turned happy, "But I have a yellow 1."

I smiled and began dancing around the room in celebration. "I beat the queen of uno!" I quietly shouted, trying not to disturb the sleeping roomies nearby.

At this point, it's around 3am. The storm had slowed down a bit but is still making a huge fuss outsude, all of Manchester is flooded at this point. "I guess training isn't on today." I came out with randomly.

"Shhhh, I'm trying to sleep here."

"Oh im so sorry, you made me stay awake yo keep you company in the first place."

"Shhh." I was hushed again as she fell asleep, the sleep deprivation catching us all at once.

I suppose that's what I like about storms, one way ir another it's peaceful. Whether that's with Laia or on my own, the storm always brings a sense of calmness for me to follow.

Now im sounding too wise, I don't like it. Forget I said it.

Soon after I packed away the last few cards, I fell asleep, pulling the blanket back to me.
