"Come on, come on. Pick up Court pick up." I've tried getting Courtney to pick up the phone like 200 times now. I get she's probably training and all, but I was too. Then I left. The least she could do is pick up the damn phone.

Suddenly, as I was definitely not speeding home, my phone buzzed. I quickly answered the call in a panic.

"Hey (Y/n/n), you okay? You've tried calling me 30 times in the past fifteen minutes." Courtney said, I can hear the panic in her voice even through my panic.

"No. Court, I need you to meet me at home in about 10 minutes, I need your help."

"I can't just leave training if I don't know what for (Y/n/n), you know I could lose my starting position."

"Please. Just tell them that I need you and they should let you go. Please, Courtney. I need your help, and I need you right now."

"Okay. I'll be there soon."

"Wait." I took a shaky breath before continuing. "Please don't hang up." I say on the verge of tears.

"Okay, I won't." I heard Courtney go tell the coaches I said I need her, and I heard them tell her to come to me. I then heard her get in her car and begin the drive to mine while I was trying to unlock the door with shaking hands.

After a couple minutes of trying, I gave up and sat down in front of my door, handled on my legs, clasped together. I'm trying so hard to stop the constant shaking of them, but I can't. I can't stop the shaking no matter how hard I try.

After five minutes of me being sat down the shaking hadn't eased and I completely forgot Nevin was on her way over here, we haven't talked at all through the call but I suppose that this is a way for me to know she is on her way no matter what. I suppose another reason could be so I know she doesn't leave me.

Soon enough, Courtney finally got here after around fifteen long minutes due to the traffic. She talked to me every now and then while she was driving. He told me that she was on her way but stuck in traffic, but I didn't really register that during the time.

"Hey. Hey (Y/n/n), are you okay?" Courtney said, rushing to my side. Placing one of her hands on my cheek, the other moving towards my shaking hands.

"Why are you shaking so much? What's wrong?" Courtney said, and I could see the panic rising in her as I stared off into the distance.

"I need to go home." I say as a few stray tears ran down my face, which was quickly wiped away by Courtneys thumb.

"What happened?"

"My dad. He... He's gone." I whispered as more tears began to fall, and my shaking worsened. I thought people said talking about stuff helps. It's not really helping right now, is it.

"Court, I need you to help me pack to go home. I still need to lock the house up, pack, and then book a flight, and I can't do it all Court, I can't. I just can't." I rambled while being on the verge of a breakdown.

Courtney sensing this slowly helped me stand up and took the key from the spot where I dropped them on the floor earlier and opened the door with one hand, the other not leaving me.

Once the door was open, I was guided into the house and over to the sofa, her hand still not leaving me even for a second.

"How about we order a flight, then go pack, yeah?" Courtney asked softly as if she was treading on thin ice and didn't want anything to crack.

"Okay." I whispered back.

Courtney spent five minutes ordering the tickets before helping me back up and walking with me to my room.

"What should we back (Y/n/n)?"

"Is it summer over there right now?" I asked. Even if I was born in Australia and lived there till I was 16, it doesn't mean I can remember what the weather is like other than rainy or sunny.

"How do you always forget it? We always go over there, but yes, it is."

"Okay, thanks." I say as I slowly walked over to our wardrobe, I took the suitcase off the top of it and began chucking some short sleeve shirts, tanks, tops, shorts and stuff like that. I noticed that once I chucked it in, Court would pick it back out and fold it before putting it back in to make it 'look neat' as she says.

"You know you don't have to do that, right?"

"Well, it has to look neat, and you need to fit anything else you might need in, I need to fit my stuff in too, so of course, I'm folding it. I always do at camp too." Courtney said before giving a small laugh.

"I'm sorry you're too organised for your own good." I laughed for seemed like the first time in years when, in reality, was only earlier this morning, before the news.

"There's that laugh I love." Courtney said, walking over to me and picking me up to chuck me onto the bed.

"What was that for?"

"You were in my way of getting my stuff for Australia." Courtney said with a small shrug.

"Bitch."

"You love me for it, admit it."

"maybe." I said trailing off. In reality only Courtney could make a good day happy for me and she's right, it's part of the reason why I love her.
