Somebody was going to be receiving a hospital bill because this shyt wasn't fair... De'Cari by himself was bad enough but De'Cari + Quan.... those two had me laughing so hard that I was afraid I tore something in my stomach. Kaylis laughed so hard that she had to go inside and change her jeans, and Tion sat there shaking his head trying to act innocent.... even Stylez cracked a few smiles here and there, but I was really surprised by the stories they shared, I learned A LOT about all of them from their college days and a few stories even had me giving them the side eye (playfully). I knew Tion had a past, but I didn't know he was an indiscriminate peen slinger... I thought my baby was innocent, but now I realize... well TJ definitely got it honest. Kaylis finally came back and sat on my lap, not to be outdone, De'Cari got up and sat on Tion's lap before allowing Quan to resume the story about how sweet and innocent Tion showed his entire ass during an away game against Florida State... not Tion and Quan sneaking into the Florida State dorms and fuckin a pair of teammates before the bowl game, which caused the two players to be weak legged and unable to perform the next day... in my eyes that's cheating but whatever.
"Excuse me, I gotta take this...." I said getting up from the table and walking into the kitchen where it was quiet. "Wassup Zy?" I asked hoping this didn't have anything to do with business.
"Do you remember your old employer Jupiter?" Zyshaun asked and I felt a chill go down my spine, that was a name I was determined to forget and given what happened to him I was surprised that Zyshaun of all people was the one bringing him up. "Well to make a long story short, his offspring are plotting, and given the information I just received you might wanna check your old contracts." Zyshaun said and I really wasn't in the mood to deal with the ghost of my past.
"Yeah... I'll do that, is there anything else? How's TJ?" I asked and the pregnant pause made me reconsider the next question but I had to ask. "Is everything alright?" I asked nervously.
"He's fine, he's spending the day with Saint and Noah...." Zyshaun said and I could tell he was reconsidering that decision but I trusted Zyshaun and I knew Saint wouldn't let his little brother get into any trouble... at least I hope he didn't.
"EXCUSE YOU RUDENESS, I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU'RE HERE FOR. THIS IS A DRUG-FREE ZONE! D-A-R-E MEANS STAY DRUG FREE, SO YOU NEED TO TAKE THAT DOWN THE STREET SOMEWHERE!" I heard Tiana yelling from the front porch.
"Zyshaun, I gotta go... keep me posted on that situation." I said hanging up before he could respond and I went to see why Tiana was trippin. When I stepped outside, Tiana was being held back by Iran and for a second I thought she was trying to attack Dimitri who was sitting on the hood of his car, but then I saw the target of her rage...
"Tiana, I'm not scared of you... anymore." Icon said as he continued smoking his blunt. "And when did you become anti-weed? You used to smoke with me all the time, in fact, I 'm pretty sure the first blunt I ever smoked was with you." Icon said, then Sincere whispered in his ear and Icon nodded. "Correction the second blunt I ever smoked was with you, but that doesn't change anything... LaFayette do you have an issue with me smoking?" Icon asked and I shook my head.
I stood there watching Tiana and Icon argue back and forth, while also keeping an eye on Titan and Dimitri... there was definitely some tension brewing between the two of them and I really didn't want to be involved, so hopefully they could work out whatever was happening between the two of them. I sat on the front porch scrolling through my phone thinking about what Zyshaun said, I wasn't too afraid of Jupiter's offspring but him telling me to check my old contracts.... As I sat there trying to remember what I did with those papers a text came through my phone, then another, then another followed by a video....
"Kaylis, I need to talk to you...." I said pulling her away from the table, De'Cari was in the middle of the infamous Mardi Gras story and even though I've heard it a million times it was probably funnier with Quan sitting there.... never mind this was too important. I noticed Tion staring at me, I could tell he was trying to figure out why I was so nervous.
