This was probably the best practice I ever had, I let my anger take control and it paid off more than I could have ever expected... Maybe it was because I wanted to kill Nykko, or maybe it was because Camilo promised me a special surprise when I was finished but whatever the case... I was motivated. I decided not to get let my anger get the best of me, Tyson was free to fuck whoever he wanted, old me would've beat Nykko's ass with a helmet but I decided against it... I couldn't ruin my career over his bitch ass, I should tell his wife though but that would cause more issues.... We finished up and I decided not to shower here, I needed to put some distance between me and Nykko, so I'd just shower over Camilo's and blow off some steam over there... Ala'Ven was with Tyson so I knew he'd be good and was ALMOST tempted to be really disrespectful and have Camilo come to the house but I wasn't that petty.... yet. Why couldn't my life be peaceful? Between Errol's bitch ass and now Nykko.... it was like the universe was telling me that me and Tyson weren't meant to be together and the sad part is maybe I should start listening but I was too damn stubborn to give up that easily... I still felt like we could make this work... Though right now... it was better if there was some distance between me and Tyson.

"You aight Hayes? The only time I see dudes this locked in during a no-pads practice is when they got a contract coming up or they got trouble at home... so which is it?" One of my teammates asked through the speaker as I made my way downtown to see what Camilo was plotting.

"I'm good... just needed to blow off some steam." I said not wanting to disrupt the locker room chemistry because if there was one thing dudes in the league hate was someone who would fuck their teammate's partner... it was the ultimate sign of disrespect and it showed that they were more loyal to themselves than the team. "Actually let me hit you back later.... my son is calling." I said hanging up before he could respond. "Wassup Lay?" I asked praying that nothing was wrong.

"Dad, can you bring me my shoes?" Ala'Ven asked and I rolled my eyes, I don't know where he got that forgetful shyt from because when I packed I remembered everything, and his mom... well she was a Virgo so that should tell you what type of person she was.

"Do you need them or do you want them... think carefully because your answer will determine if I bring them or not." I said, one of the things I tried to instill in Ala'Ven was the difference between want and need.

"I uhh... I want them but I kinda need them because I got practice tomorrow and I don't wanna be rushing around beforehand." Ala'Ven said and something about that didn't sound right but I decided not to question it.

"Well I just got out of practice and I got some business to handle before going home, I'll try to bring them to you later on tonight. Where's your dad?" I asked not sure if I wanted to know.

"He had to step outside to make a phone call.... do you wanna talk to him?" Ala'Ven asked and I thought about if for a full minute with a million thoughts flying through my head.

"Nah.... I'll.... I'll hit you up later." I said and after exchanges of 'I love you' we hung up and I wondered if Ala'Ven was talking to Nykko... you know what, not my business.

"Mr. Hayes? I was told you give you this..." The doorman said when I walked into Camilo's building.... I was curious as to what was in the large box he handed me but I was certain I shouldn't open it in public. "Umm... do you mind if I get a pic?" He asked with stars in his eyes, I didn't want to be rude so we took a few pics and I rushed to the elevator.

"Ayy Camilo!" I called out as I walked into his apartment... it definitely seemed different in here but I couldn't exactly say what it was....

"Wassup?" Camilo said and I noticed he wasn't alone, he was with this dark-skinned dude and I'm not gonna lie he was sexy as fuck. "Oh, I'm being rude... Seven this is my friend/attorney Kavi...." Camilo said making introductions...
