I walked into the backyard and saw Kaden choppin it up with Zyn, of fuckin course, why my brother was so obsessed with recruiting Zyn I would never know but it is what it is, Zyn didn't strike me as the fraternity type but Kaden could be extremely persuasive when he wanted to be. Walked over to Tion and tried to hand him his change but he waved me off and continued watching Titan who was having a quiet albeit heated discussion with Deuce's fine ass..... I tried not to get into people's business but they seemed to argue every other hour and I wasn't sure if their situationship could survive once Deuce returned to Columbus. Next, I turned to Qasim who was holding court, he had everyone in tears, not really surprising Qasim had always been the class clown. Finally, I looked at Tayo, he was deep in his phone texting away and a part of me wanted to say something to him because I felt it in my spirit that he was texting Basiano. The only thing was... I really didn't care, if he wanted to fuck on my ex I refused to be upset especially when you take into account of who that ex is.... Tayo was going to have to learn the hard way that Basiano was crazy, Tayo knew my history with him and still decided to play with fire, now he was going to get burned.... hmmm does that make me a bad friend? Before I could give it too much thought LaFayette walked over to me and motioned for me to follow him inside.
"Ayy my bad about Tayo...." I said feeling bad because I was the reason Tayo was here in the first place. "If you want I can take him home, I was thinking about doing that anyways because he's been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way... him and Ajani if I'm being honest." I said and LaFayette smiled.
"Don't worry about it, Tayo is a child and I can promise you no matter how much flirting he does, Tion isn't going to give him a millisecond of his attention.... The reason I asked you to come in here is because I wanted to warn you when I was younger I had a Tayo in my camp... I thought he was my friend but the entire time he was fuckin my nigga.... I know you THINK he's your friend and he wouldn't do anything like that but if he's bold enough to flirt with a dude who is clearly in a relationship, he'll definitely do some shady shyt behind your back." LaFayette said looking into my eyes.
"Trust me I'm starting to see that maybe Tayo really isn't my friend.... a little earlier, before I went to the store for Tion, Tayo got a phone call and I think it was my ex that was calling him... I'm certain I saw his name on the screen, I just don't know if I should confront him or leave it alone." I said looking at him.
"If it was me... I wouldn't confront him, I would just cut him off completely... confronting him only gives him the opportunity to lie, cutting him off... either the guilt will start eating away at him or he'll simply not give a fuck and move on... either way it's better to get those type of people out of your life." LaFayette said and while I got where he was coming from the Taurus in me was saying to beat Tayo's ass... not because I gave a fuck about Basiano, it's the principle of the matter.
"I hear you.... it's just hard because Tayo has been my boy since middle school and even when I was at my lowest he was there to pick me up..... I still wanna beat his ass but maybe I'm just not good at cutting people off." I said shrugging.
"That comes with age, I promise the older you get the less bullshyt you'll be willing to put up with and it will be a lot easier to cut people out of your life. With Justin, it was hard at first but that void was easily filled with people who actually care about me...." LaFayette said. "You'll learn and college is probably the best place for you to learn and grow... you'll definitely make some mistakes but that's part of the fun... Though I didn't go to college I definitely have some stories that....." LaFayette froze and his ear perked up, I was confused as to why he stopped so abruptly but then I heard it.....
"MAAAAANNN LIL DUDE YOU BETTER GO ON.... I'M TRYING TO BE PEACEFUL BUT YOU'RE REALLY ABOUT TO MAKE ME FORGET ABOUT ALL MY ANGER MANAGEMENT STEPS!!!!" A deep voice said from the front of the house, now I know it wasn't my place but I was nosy as fuck so I followed LaFayette to the front of the house. He opened the door and there were two men standing on the porch, one was Tion's older (and in my opinion better looking) brother Dallas, and the other dude I didn't know but at the bottom of the stairs, standing by his car was Basiano. I swear this nigga was fuckin annoying......
