Chapter 5: Battle to Vast Isle

Valaine was working on the Queen. Grim was worried about her because as they escaped, the King launched a fireball at them, and Yoichi took the hit badly. Grim was intent on informing the prince. He rushed to the prince's room in the underground. When he reached the room and banged on the door.

Mars woke up to the banging and he was dazed but saw Princeton holding him with a smile on his face.

"I see you are finally awake my prince."

"Did we...?"

"Yes, we did. Do you want to talk about it or do you want to get the door?"

"I'll get the door. We will talk later."

Mars got up and walked to the door. He opened it to see Grim with a worried look on his face.

"Grim, what's wrong?"

"Your mother..."

"What about my mother?"

"The King turned on her and tried to kill her. I saved her but the king did some damage to her, but the king knows we are here because we were followed. You have to leave now."

Mars was speechless.

"A have a hideout in the Vast isles," Princeton stated

"Then we go there," Mars said calmly looking at Princeton. He turned back to Grim. "Warn everyone about what going on and tell him to get ready for a fight."

"Yes, my Prince."

Grim left and began working on his task. Princeton walked up and wrapped his arms around Mars' waist.

"Can we talk now?" Princeton said sweetly

"Look we were both drunk."

"Yet the feelings were there."

"Princeton, I know we have history, but..."

"I know you know my past and what I have done but know this my heart only wants you."

"Okay, just get me some time."

"As you wish my Prince. I wish to serve you."

"You want to be my assassin?"

"I do and more, but I will prove my loyalty by telling you all about Corin's plan and what I know."

Mars smiled

"Alright. We can continue this on the way to see my mother."

Nathan was in Corin's room snooping around, looking to find what she was hiding from the group. He needed to know what she was planning because to him something was fishy. Nathan noticed a book. The book was titled "The Royal Family." He took the book and left her room. He walked towards Valaine's clinic.

"Nathan?"

He heard his sister's voice.

"Hey Nori, what's up?"

"Why did you come out of Corin's room?"

"I dropped something, and it went under her door."

"Oh, well at least you got it back."

"Yeah."

Grim saw the siblings and ran towards them.

"The king's men are on their way here. We must get ready for a battle to go to the Vast Isles."

"Alright." The siblings said in unison.

They followed Grim to warn the others. Everyone was preparing the underground for a battle and to escape. Corin and Jewel were telling everyone the escape plan. Grim saw Mars exiting the infirmary. He rushed over to him.
