Chapter 20: Planning

Watching the sun set, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked over and saw Jewel. Jewel sat next to him. Neither of them spoke. They soaked the last bit of warmth from the sun. Jewel smiled and chuckled to himself a bit.

"You are just like your father."

"How so?"

"Your power is a gift from the sun itself. You regenerate your power in the sun."

Mars chuckled a bit. The sun had set, and Mars sighed a bit.

"You might be right, but you did give me an idea."

Both men went into the hideout. Mars told Jewel to gather everyone. Jewel gathered everyone. Everyone was looking at Mars.

"I have a plan for attacking Corin."

"What is your plan?" Princeton asked

"We attack Corin at night."

"Why do you suggest that?" Nori asked

"Zero and I would be at our weakest during the night since we have our parent's powers now. So, if we attack at night and draw the battle out to the next morning."

"The sun would power you guys up and we can overthrow her easily." Nathan finished

"We also have Damien on our side now."

"Why did he turn on Corin?" Princeton asked folding his arms

Flashback:

Damien walked up to Mars and Zero.

"Can we talk?"

"What do you want?" Zero was blunt.

"I want to help you guys."

"Why?" Mars questioned

Damien sighed. "I don't want to follow her no more."

"You need to explain?"

"She is power hungry; she wants to go after the gods. I don't want that."

Mars and Zero were shocked. They were also confused about Corin's play.

"Isn't your mother a god?"

"Yes."

"So, if she does defeat us, she is going to try to claim the power of the gods." Mars was putting the pieces together.

Damien nodded. Zero looked at Mars, then back at Damien.

"How can we trust you?"

"When you guys win, I will do time in the dungeon."

Mars and Zero looked at each other.

"Can we trust him?"

Mars looked into Damien's eyes.

"He's being honest."

Zero just looked at Damien with a glare. He couldn't believe the story Damien's eyes told.

"Just know, if you are playing us, we will send you quickly."

End Of Flashback:

"So Corin wants to take the power of the gods?" Princeton questioned

"Damien realized she wants too much." Nori inputted

"But she needs Zero and Mars power," Jewel added.

"Here's the plan. We all will attack the front gate. When we reach the courtyard, that's when we split up. Nathan, you going to be with Damien, you guys will attack the courtyard. Jewel and Nori will be going to the dungeon and freeing the prisoners. Rika and Drake will take out Corin's lab. Zero and I will go straight towards Corin. Once all are done we all will meet up and fight Corin."

Everyone agreed with the plan.

"This may be the last time we all see each other."

Corin was sitting on her throne plotting her defense. Damien was next to her. She pondered on how Mars would attack her. She had her castle being reinforced by the guards and some townspeople. Damien looked at her because she was in deep thought.

"What are you thinking about?"

"About Mars attack on my kingdom."

"Oh. You are wondering how he going attack us?"

"Precisely."

"I wonder what's going happen after they breach the front gate."

"Don't worry about that, either way, we are going to win."
