David's POV

We sprinted madly through the halls of the funeral basement, calling her name out.

"Hope!? Hope!" I screamed. I didn't want to lose her. Out of everything 236 has done, if that thing hurts Hope, it would be the worst.

Then, I saw him... or her. A hooded figure at the end of the hallway. Adam, Izzy and I looked at each other. That was without a doubt, 236. They had their back turned, and was looking down to the ground. We silently ran forward, but stopped when we noticed something. To our left was a door, and through it we heard screaming, and banging. We took our eyes off of 236, and turned to the door. 236 then turned around, and we saw a black sheet covering their face, but I could feel him or her smiling. They barrelled off around a corner, and we were left with a decision.

"I'm the sportiest one here. I've got it" Adam says. He turns, and runs off in 236's direction. Izzy and I open the door, which we were surprised wasn't locked, and stumbled back when we saw what was happening.

The room was pretty big, but there were no lights nor windows. It smelled disgusting, and a bit like gasoline.  The dark and dingy room had concrete walls that seemed to have something, such as mildew, growing on it. It was relatively empty. Except for a table right in the middle of the room. Beyond that table was something terrifying. A big glass box. At the bottom were all types of pipes, coming out of the hard floor. In the glass box was Hope, filling the room with her blood curdling screams. Water quickly pumped out of the pipes, and was just up to her knees. Her fists madly banged on the glass, but it was thick, and wouldn't budge.

"Help!" She screamed, over and over. "Do something!!!"

Me and Izzy exchanged looks of panic. There was nothing in this room to do anything with. We ran over to the table, and attempted to lift it up, but it seemed to be bolted to the ground. Below we noticed shelves, but the were locked, and wouldn't open. The water was now at Hope's waist, and she was crying harder than I've ever seen her cry. Her flowing black dress was now wet, and mascara running. I ran up to the box, and desperately tried smashing it with my fists, but nothing but pain came from that. The water was now up to her neck, and seemed to be rising faster. Hope began to swim tread the water, so she could swim up to the top with it, giving her a few extra moments of breathe time.

"We need something that's made of wood, or steel... I don't know, anything but our fists!" Izzy screamed. A lightbulb appeared over my head. I ran out of the room, down many twists and turns. I finally came to the playroom, and grabbed the little wooden rocking chair, but then I knew it was to small. Idea... gone. I needed something though. A doll wouldn't work. I ran back into the storage room, always looking behind me so I wouldn't get locked in. I practically teared the place apart, flipping through cupboards, and looking under every toy. I came up to the little bed, and took off the covers. Nothing. I ripped the pillow off and... wait what. Underneath the pillow was a crowbar. What an odd place for a crowbar. I grabbed it, and ran to the room with the glass box. Hope was fully under water, face red. I ran forward with such force, my eyes blurred. My arm swung, and I heard the glass shatter. Burt not fully. I swung my arm again, and water spewed out, soaking my expensive pants. The water drained, and Hope's head exited the water. She coughed, and drew in greedy breaths.

"Hope!" I screamed. I smashed the glass one more time, and another huge hole started to drain more water, totally cancelling out the pipes. I continued to smash more and more glass, eventually making a hole big enough for Hope to slip through, though she got a few scratches. When she got out, she lied down on the floor, still coughing.

"Oh my god! Hope what happened?!" I said. Hope started to cry some more.

"I- I was walking around looking for the coffin, when someone knocked me out. Next thing you know, I was inside that box!" She says shakily. She cries into Izzy's lap, and she continually says that everything will be okay.
