David's POV

Smell of salt and fries comfort me, as I pull into a booth at McDonalds. I made a rule that I wasn't allowed to go here... well Nick did. Looks like I was about to break that rule.

236's note said that I had to eat here. And eat the order for Dumpy David. I searched it up, and dumpy was just another word for fat.

"Can I have the order for Dumpy David, please" I say as kindly as possible. The cashier looks at me like I'm insane, and goes to some random files. She comes back out with a large bag.

"Here"

"Thanks" This was the moment. 236 wanted me to eat everything inside this bag, in front of everyone. What was inside it? I opened it up, and a gasp escaped from my mouth. Large fries, 6 pack of chicken nuggets, and a Big Mac. My phone rang.

Hopefully you don't get too stuffed :)

Bitch. I took out the food slowly and sat down. Memories rush back.

*

It was like any other day. I went to school, got bullied, felt bad, ate. My go to comfort place was McDonalds. I sat at a table that was right by the window, sitting on high chairs. I opened my mouth to take a bite of my big mac, when suddenly I heard a voice.

"May I sit here?" Said a pretty young voice.

"Of course" I replied. I turned and saw someone I never had seen before, a total stranger. She had short blonde hair, and blue eyes. Pale skin, and wore little makeup. Yet she still seemed like one of those pretty and popular girls.

"A Big Mac. I used to like those" She said.

"Used to! What happened?"

"I cut them out of my diet, too fattening" I looked at the greasy burger, and set it down. I suddenly felt insecure.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Cate. Yours?"

"David"

"Nice. Do you come here often?" I felt like that comment was a jab at my weight, and I suddenly felt hurt. I brushed it off.

"A bit, I guess" I admitted shyly. I looked down at my belly, almost popping out from under my shirt, and started to breath deeply. I didn't want to cry. Especially not in front of a girl.

"A pretty girl should never be seen at a fast food place. That's my rule"

"Do you not consider yourself pretty?"

"I'm a rule breaker" She smiled.

"What school do you go to?" I asked. I realized it might have sounded creepy. "I thought I might have seen you on Instagram, just wanna know if its you" I lied. She eyed me curiously.

"I go to Rockwell. But next year I'm moving to Elmsville High"

"Same! We might be in the same class!" I got all excited. I may have just made a friend! I had been so scared to go to the new school, afraid that no one would like me. This may be the most popular girl, and having a head start could get me into the best groups at school!

"Yay!" She said with fake excitement. My hopes went down.

"Um, are you going to order?" I noticed her lack of food.

"You know what, I think I'm actually gonna go. Since we are going to the same school next year, just don't tell anyone about this. You remember my rule?"

"Yes, sure I guess-" Cate start to got up, and sadness overcame me. That led to longing, which led to me eating my food ferociously. Cate went to walk out the door, but then came back.
