Neverending summer nights
WHere the sun sets south
I know i'll get grass in my hair but I lie in it anyways
because no carpet compares to a cut lawn.
Sticky air like overcooked rice
A thirst that iced tea was made to remedy
cicadas burn like cigarettes
with fireflies as their lights
mosquitoes are evil surgeons threatening nonlethal injection
still i sunbathe in a bikini.
Basking in baby dandelions
The aspen trees billiow.
Their melody is silent.
The clouds are lovely lyrics.
