Long, Long Ago
On October 7th, a baby's cry echoed through the cave. Rhea was laying on the stone trying to catch her breath, her dress stained with golden blood.
There were 2 maidens in the cave, wearing blue simple dresses with a white maiden's apron, one helping Rhea and the other holding a baby in her hands."Let me see, let me see my child" she said short breath with her hands in the air.
The maiden walked her way with a smile.
"Congratulations, your Majesty" she said giving her the baby "It is a girl"
The baby was bathed in golden blood and had black hair. When she opened her eyes, a big pair of emerald green eyes looked up at her. The baby stopped crying and smiled to her mother, a smile so big and bright it could light the whole world.
"Oh, my dear" Rhea smiled at her daughter "Your name will be Θεοδώρα. Because you, my darling, are a Blessing Gift in such dark days. One day, you will make the world a better place. The world will be yours"
Rhea stood up with help of her maidens and her daughter in her arms. She started humming a song and hammocking her daughter to sleep.
With tears in her eyes, she placed the baby in a little coffin made of stone. When the baby left her mother's arms, she started crying. Rhea placed the lid on and immediately, the baby stopped crying.
"Are you sure, your Majesty?" The older maiden asked her concerned.
"Yes, even if it breaks my heart" she admitted with tears "If she were to live now, her father will swallow her, and we do not know if Zeus will succeed. He has yet to grow. Θεοδώρα will remain here, in this island, hidden from her father in a sleeping spell, until he is defeated and is safe for her to live. Filos will stay with her, for protection"
Filos, who was a shapeshifter animal at Rhea's service, took out his feathery chest with pride. Right now, he looked like a white crow with blue eyes.
"If anything happens, you come find me" she said to the bird.

5 months had passed and Rhea grew worried with every passing day.
Her husband, Kronos, had left without warning two days ago. That unsettled Rhea very much. She had a terrible feeling about it.
Ever since she came back from the island, Kronos was over her, always keeping an eye on her. He ate the stones that she gave him, but something was different this time. She started questioning if maybe she hadn't tricked him this time.
Rhea was at Mount Othrys walking through the halls with her lions, when one of them started to growl and looked at the window next to them.
On the other side of it, was a green parrot. Rhea was about to keep walking until the eyes of the bird changed for a second from black to blue.
It was Filos.
Rhea's body tensed and ran to the window to open it. She grabbed the bird and entered the closest room. She closed the door behind her lions and turned to face the bird.
"What happened?" She asked with fear in her voice.
"Danger. Danger" Filos said moving his head "He found her. Danger. Danger"
Rhea crumbled to the floor and covered her mouth trying not to make a sound. She felt like her heart had been pierced by a sword and pulled out of her chest. She couldn't speak, she couldn't see, she could barely breath, and she couldn't think of anything else that wasn't her daughter. Her young, innocent and beautiful daughter.
She stayed like that for some minutes, crying in silence, until she was ready to move.
She left the Palace without caring if Kronos came back and found out she wasn't there. She teleported to the Island, a forest surrounded her and she ran straight to where she knew the cave was.
She found the small entrance and ran through the dark path until she reached the room where she gave birth to her daughter. The cave was empty, she didn't see any changes.
"What are you playing husband?" She mumbled walking to the stone coffin.
She grabbed the lid and tried to open it but failed, she tried again but didn't succeed. She started getting worried and confused, she walked around the coffin trying to spot anything different, and she saw it.
On the left side of the coffin, carved in the stone, there was a phrase.
"Η έβδομη κόρη του Κρόνου και της Ρέας θα παραμείνει παγιδευμένη σε ένα ξόρκι ύπνου μέχρι να την ξυπνήσει ο πατέρας της. Όταν το κάνει, πρέπει να τον υπηρετήσει ή να υποστεί τις συνέπειες." Rhea read out loud and crumbled to the ground crying, she screamed and threw rocks at the walls.
Kronos had cursed his own daughter.
The seventh child of Kronos and Rhea shall remain trapped in a sleeping spell until her father awakens her. When he does, she must serve him, or suffer the sleeping spell again.
"My baby" Rhea said sobbing while grabbing the coffin, as if trying to reach for her daughter "My baby, my darling. I will not let him find you"
She got up and left the cave. Outside of it was Filos, as a giant Eagle, who had just arrived. He changed into a lion and walked along Rhea.
The Island was very big, it had a couple of mountains, valleys, lakes, a river and more things. Rhea went to the top of the highest mountain and raised her arms.
She closed her eyes and used all the power she had. A white shield started surrounding the entire Island and a part of the sea, as it grew it started to take shape of a dome.
"This island will be the Sacred Sanctuary of Theodora, the most powerful child of Rhea and her husband" she screamed while creating the dome "The barrier will protect this island from unknown eyes and hide it from everyone and everything. Anyone who wants to cross it will have to have her permission. Anyone who is on the island cannot be perceived by anyone or anything outside of it"
When the dome was finished, she fell to her knees. Filos went to her and started licking her face. She petted his head and looked at him.
"Filos, you have been a great servant. That's why I will trust you with the most important task" the wolf took out his chest in pride at the compliment "You will stay in this island and be my daughter's protector. You are prohibited from leaving this place until my daughter awakens and is 5 years old. There, you will bring her with me and wait for other orders."
Filos bowed his head and looked up.
Rhea went back to Mount Othrys after saying one last goodbye to her daughter. Kronos wasn't there yet, so he didn't know about Rhea's departure.
When he arrived, he pretended like nothing happened, and so did Rhea.
Thousands and thousands of years went by. Time went on for everybody else, Kronos was defeated, his children lived again, all the other Gods and Goddesses were born, mortals were born. A camp was created for demigods, the Roman Empire fell, mortals were buried, World War happened, then World War II and The Big Three made a pact.
Then, on February 18th of 1992, the lid of Theodora's coffin was broken in three pieces. Filos, who was standing guard in the entrance, heard the sound of a stone breaking and changed into a bird to fly to the lid.
A baby's cry echoed through the cave.
