Artemis said that dawn was near, but there wasn't even a glimpse of sunrise in the sky. The Hunters had already disarmed the camp and were waiting in a big group. Standing to a side were Grover, Thalia and Nico. Nico and Grover were talking excitedly while Thalia was kicking the snow with her arms crossed.

"You really were offered a place in the hunt?" Percy asked her while they walked towards her.

"It was a long time ago" she replied, trying to not make a big deal out of it, she was too worried about what Artemis had said.

What monster was she talking about?

"Why did you say no?"

"Because," she sighed and looked at him tired, knowing she couldn't escape his questions "I didn't want to leave the demigods. The Olympians didn't care about them, I was the only one who did. I couldn't turn my back on them"

"They still don't care" he mumbled and she decided to make deaf ears "Do you realize that, even when you were a demigod, you still acted as our protector?"

Thea looked up to the branches of the trees, which were covered by snow.

Percy was right. Even when she didn't know she was a goddess, she protected the demigods. It's like a little part of her always knew who was destined to become.

"Huh, I guess you're right"

"How did you found us?" He whispered so no one could hear.

"I don't know" she replied shaking her head "All I know is that I woke up from my nap and I heard Annabeth's voice in my head asking for my help"

"That's weird...and you said you took a nap?" He frowned at her "Is that why you're still awake?"

"Yes, I found out that, as long as I sleep at least eight hours a day" she explained as they were approaching the group "I can stay away longer at night"

"You took an eight hour nap?!" He said and she shushed him.

They arrived with the others and Nico jumped from the floor to go with Thea. She ruffled his hair and knelt down next to him.

"Hey, why don't you go find your sister?" She brushed his cheek, which was cold from the weather "She has something important to tell you"

"Okay! And then what?" He replied and started playing with her camp necklace.

"And then, the God Apollo will come pick us up to take all of us back to Camp Half-Blood" she told him with a smile and laughed when he started jumping excitedly.

"Cool!" He said with a big smile and ran away to find his sister "Bianca!"

"I love that kid" she shook her head and turned to the others "Thalia, erase that glare"

"How did you get here?" She asked with a frown, but she erased her glare as she was told.

"Percy will tell you once we're back in camp" she replied and looked at Percy, who nodded in agreement.

"Why can't you tell me?" She crossed her arms indignantly.

"I made an oath by the River Styx to not tell" she explained with an annoyed look and pointed at Percy with her head "But there's nothing preventing Percy from telling others about it"

Percy nodded and a smirk appeared in his face. He leaned in as if to tell a secret.

"Loophole"

Thea rolled her eyes and laughed at him, which made him smile. Thalia and Grover shared a confused look, clearly lost.
