Thea opened her eyes slowly and stretched her limbs in her bed. She felt the cold air and covered her shoulders with her blankets.
The door to her bedroom opened and Hestia appeared with a smile and a tray with her breakfast.
"Good morning, Thea" she said walking to the bed.
"Morning, Essie" she replied as she seated herself in the bed "What's this? And what are you doing here?"
"This is coffee with pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream and syrup" she said pointing at the things in the tray "Last night, I didn't want to leave you alone, so I decided to spend the night here and be with you in the morning"
"You didn't have to" Thea shook her head with a little smile "But thank you"
She started eating her breakfast with Hestia sitting next to her in the bed.
"How do you feel?" Hestia asked in a low voice, staring at her sister's face.
"Happy, worried, surprised, embarrassed, furious at myself"
"It's not your fault you don't know how to activate your powers" Hestia placed her hand in Thea's leg to comfort her.
"How can't it be? They're my powers and I don't know how to fucking use them" she glared at her sister and looked down at her breakfast.
She didn't mean to use a harsh tone with Hestia. She was angry at herself, not with her sister.
"You'll find out when the time is right, until then we will help you"
"Ah, yes, and they were so eager to do so" Thea mumbled as she drank her coffee.
"Give them time" Hestia comforted her while rubbing her leg "I've known you since you arrived at camp, and Hades has known you for a couple of weeks now. You'll grow on them, you'll see"
"They already hate me for leaving in the middle of the meeting!"
"They don't hate you, and you didn't have a choice. You don't control your sleeping condition"
Thea grumbled and they were in silence for a while, Thea recalling yesterday's meeting and Hestia looking at her carefully.
"I can't believe that meeting lasted 8 hours" Thea complained with food on her mouth.
"Manners, and some meetings even last days. You'll get used to it" Hestia exclaimed stealing a strawberry.
"Ah, yes, when I'm an official member of the Council"
"We'll worry about it later, now you should see the bright side" Hestia smiled and grabbed her sister's hand "You can return to Camp Half-Blood"
Thea smiled and her eyes shined with happiness and joy. She could finally go back home, with her friends and family.
"Yes, I can" she answered and locked eyes with Hestia "I still can't believe he did that"
"It was his peace offering" Hestia shrugged smiling "Though I did not see that coming"
The sisters laughed a little and kept talking. When Thea finished her breakfast, Hestia stood up and grabbed the tray.
"Now, it's time to get up. Hades called and said he will be joining us for lunch, he wanted to arrive before the others. Speaking of which, he informed me that they decided to come at three in the afternoon, although Zeus is not coming. He said he had some things to do"
