Elizabeth was keeping herself from bouncing on her toes because of the excitement.

She was standing behind some campers, between Dionysus and the girl from the bonfire. She kept staring at the number above the metallic door, watching it grow bigger.

"Are you excited?" The girl asked her, and she nodded enthusiastically, making her chuckle.

The girl brushed her hands on her legs. She was wearing a red dress and her black hair was covered by a hood, which made her flame eyes stand out.

Chiron and Nora had forced Elizabeth to wear a white dress with a golden belt and an armband, saying that Winter Solstice was a special occasion.

A beep sounded and the elevator stopped moving. The door flew open and the campers started to get out. Elizabeth was one of the last ones to step out.

She gawked at the city in front of her as she slowly walked out of the elevator.

They were above the clouds, where it rose the decapitated peak of a mountain, its summit covered with snow. Clinging to the mountainside were dozens of multileveled palaces all with white-columned porticos, gilded terraces, and bronze braziers glowing with a thousand fires. Roads wound crazily up to the peak, where the largest palace gleamed against the snow. Precariously perched gardens bloomed with olive trees and rosebushes. There was an open-air market filled with colorful tents, a stone amphitheater built on one side of the mountain, a hippodrome and a coliseum on the other.

It was an Ancient Greek city, except it wasn't in ruins. It was new, clean, and colorful.

"Come on, Liz" Hestia told her, gently pushing her to walk with the others.

They walked the main road, towards the peak of the mountain. On their way, they passed some giggling wood nymphs who threw olives from their garden. Hawkers in the market offered to sell ambrosia-on-a-stick, and a new shield, as seen on Hephaestus-TV.

The nine muses were tuning their instruments for a concert in the park while a small crowd gathered —satyrs and naiads and some beautiful teenagers, who probably are minor gods and goddesses.

After a long walk, they arrived at the Throne Room, where the party took place.

Massive columns rose to a domed ceiling, which was gilded with moving constellations. Twelve thrones were arranged in an inverted U, just like the cabins at Camp Half-Blood. An enormous fire crackled in the central hearth pit. Each throne was occupied by its owner, except the last one on the left side.

The Olympians were in giant human form, wearing Ancient Greek clothes. On the right side were the Goddesses, wearing Greek dresses of all different colors. And on the left side were the Gods, wearing Greek clothes as well.

At the center of the U was a throne bigger than the others, where it sat the King Of The Gods, Zeus.

He was looking at the demigods, waiting for them to settle. Once they were in their positions, and Dionysus and Hestia went to their places, Zeus stood up and rose his arms above his head.

"Welcome, Demigods! We meet in this special occasion, where the Tropic of Capricorn is closest to the sun, to celebrate together" he said looking around the room. Liz ended up being in front of everyone, so she could see all the gods closely "Winter Solstice is an occasion to reunite, celebrate and have a good time, so let us not waste our time, and start the party"

The Gods changed their forms to human-size ones, music started playing and a table full of food appeared on one side.

Everyone spread around the room and Liz stayed on her places uncomfortably.
