"Why can't I go with Percy?" Nico asked Travis. He had his arms crossed over the table and was resting his head over them with a pouting face.
"Because he's the son of Poseidon, only he can sit at Cabin 3's table. We sit in this one. Besides, dinner's almost over" he calmly explained as he looked around the Dining Hall with an anxious look. There were only fifteen demigods, so most of the tables were empty. A horn was heard and all the conversations died out "Finally"
Chiron stood up from the Adults table, where Dionysus, Hestia, Argus and him sat over dinner.
"Demigods, and Hunters! It is time!" He announced with his arms in the air. The campers started hitting their cups on the table as celebration.
Apollo's children started playing the drums. From one side of the Dining Hall, Zoë Nightshade appeared carrying a Grey Flag with a deer and a bow on it, Artemis's flag. She marched to the middle of the hall and hit the floor with the flag's pole, and the Hunters stood up with a roar and threw their fists to the air.
From the other side of the Dining Hall, Thea appeared carrying a Silver Flag with a Caduceus on it, Hermes's flag. She stopped in front of Zoë and hit the floor with the flag's pole, and the demigods from all the tables stood up with a war scream and their fists raised.
"Tomorrow night, the Demigods will play Capture the Flag against the Hunters" Chiron said quieting the screams "The Hunters will be lead by Lieutenant Zoë Nightshade, and the Demigods by Elizabeth. You have until tomorrow after dinner to plan your victory. May the best team win!"
The entire Dining Hall roared again as Zoë and Thea stared at each other.
The Hunters had never lost a game before, but neither had Thea.
Thea smiled smugly at Zoë and turned to her table. Everyone on it stood up and formed a line, as did the other tables.
Thea looked at her sister and Dionysus before she left, Hestia smiled at her and Dionysus winked and gave her a thumbs up.
She passed next to Poseidon and Hephaestus's tables and Percy and Beckendorf took places behind her, Beckendorf on her right -as he was her right-hand man- and Percy on her left with Travis behind him. Thalia joined them once they passed her table and stood behind Beckendorf.
All of the demigods left the Dining Hall led by Thea, while the Hunters stayed behind. They had to wait until they arrived to the Cabins to make their plans.
They went to Apollo's Cabin, since it was one of the biggest ones, and they took their places. Aphrodite's children had already set up everything: a big table in the center of the cabin with a lot of maps and a lot of chairs on the walls.
The counselors stood around the table while the others sat on the sides to listen to the plan.
"Let's begin" Thea said as she took her place on the head of the table "We outnumber the Hunters, let's use that to our advantage"
"My cabin can go through the middle, we will guide them to us and distract them from the actual attack" Silena offered pointing at the center of the map.
Aphrodite's cabin normally doesn't play Capture the Flag, but Silena had told her they would be playing this time. She seemed eager to play against the Hunters.
"They're too smart, they won't fall for it, and probably set us a trap" Thea shook her head in denial "We need to divide them, disarrange their formation"
"Several distractions?" Katie suggested with her eyebrow raised.
Katie and her had met each other again two days ago, and the three of them have been spending a lot of time together ever since.
