"We should launch a search for Annabeth immediately"

"I'll go" Thalia and Percy said at the same time.

"Certainly not!" Dionysus sniffed.

Thalia and Percy both started complaining, but Dionysus held up his hand.

"From what you have told me," Dionysus said with a bored look "we have, ah, regrettably lost Annie Bell—"

"Annabeth" Percy snapped.

"Yes, yes" he said moving his hand in the air "And you procured a small annoying boy to replace her. So I see no point risking further
half-bloods on a ridiculous rescue. The possibility is very great that this Annie girl is dead"

"Annabeth may be alive" Chiron said, but he was having trouble sounding upbeat. He had been like a second father to Annabeth after all "She's very bright. If ... if our enemies have her, she will try to play for time. She may even pretend to cooperate"

"I'll go" Thea said from the doorway and everyone turned around.

"When did you arrive?" Percy frowned at her.

"A couple of minutes ago" she shrugged and grinned at him.

"You're unclaimed, Liz" Thalia said shaking her head "You cannot be part of quests"

"I'm sure we can make an exception" she said looking at Dionysus with a raised eyebrow. He gave her an annoyed look and seemed like he wanted to fight her.

"Fine" he groaned and made a Diet Coke appear in front of him.

Nico burst into the room, followed by Grover, and ending the discussion.

"SO COOL!" Nico yelled, holding his hands out to Chiron "You're ... you're a centaur!"

"Yes, Mr. di Angelo" Chiron managed a nervous smile "Though, I prefer to stay in human form in this wheelchair for, ah, first encounters"

"And, whoa!" He looked at Dionysus "You're the wine dude? No way!"

"The wine dude?" Dionysus gave Nico a look of loathing and Thea burst out laughing.

"Dionysus, right? Oh, wow! I've got your figurine"

"My...figurine"

"In my game, Mythomagic. And a holofoil card, too! And even though you've only got like five hundred attack points and everybody thinks you're the lamest god card, I totally think your powers are sweet!"

"Ah" Dionysus looked perplexed, looking between Nico and Thea "Well, that's... gratifying"

"Percy," Chiron said quickly "you and Thalia go down to the cabins. Inform the campers we'll be playing capture the flag tomorrow evening"

"Capture the flag?" Percy asked "But we don't have enough—"

"It is a tradition" Chiron said, smiling at Thea who had fallen to the ground laughing "A friendly match, whenever the Hunters visit"

"Yeah," Thalia muttered "I bet it's real friendly"

"Run along now" Chiron told them as he glanced at Dionysus, who was still frowning while Nico talked about how many defense points all the gods had in his game.

"Come on, Percy" Thalia said grabbing him by the shoulder.

Chiron cleared his throat, giving Thea a severe look, and she started to calm down.

"Why don't you show Mr. Di Angelo around?" He suggested.

"In a minute, I have to tell Dyno something" she said as she approached them "Nico, you wanna see camp?"
