"What about this?" Thea asked showing a green top with a sunflower.
"Mm, I don't like the flower" Thalia replied and kept looking through the clothes.
It was a Saturday morning and they'd already been to three stores. They couldn't find anything of Thalia's liking.
"What about this t-shirt?" She grabbed a white
t-shirt with a big smiling face "It's pretty"Thalia grimaced and kept looking. She sighed tiredly and glanced at Thea.
"Sorry" she mumbled.
"Sweetie, don't worry, everyone has their own taste. Besides I'm not gonna buy you something you don't like and will never use" Thea comforted her and looked around the store "I don't think we will find anything here. Let's go some place else"
Thalia nodded and turned to the door. She had her glued to the floor and she swallowed with difficulty. Thea noticed it and threw her arm around her shoulders with a gentle smile.
"Hey, we are going to find something for you. You'll see"
Thalia nodded again and relaxed a little bit. She rested her head on Thea's shoulder and walked out of the store into the busy streets of New York.
They walked two blocks looking for a good store to enter. Thea pointed at a vintage store but Thalia quickly rejected it.
Even though they weren't having many luck, Thea was in a great mood. She loved doing the role of Aunt and spending time with her nephew and niece, even if Thalia wasn't aware that they were related.
Thea wondered how her relationship with her Godly nephews and nieces will be. Will they accept her, or will they still see her as the demigod who used to scream at them? Will they get along? Will they have a relationship like the one they have between themselves now; toxic, backstabbing and manipulative? Will they have a relationship at all?
She shook those thoughts away and focused on the present. First, she needs to get her powers to be with them.
"What about that one?" Thalia asked shyly, pointing at a store across the street.
Thea looked at the store and her eyes widened in surprise. It was a store made of black wood with a big window to the inside. You could see some outfits in the window, a dark leather jacket over a black t-shirt with a skull, which was tucked under a black cargo pants and black combat boots.
Thea did not expect that. At all.
She turned to Thalia, who was staring at the outfit and her eyes were gleaming with excitement. Thea wasn't into gothic fashion, but if it was what Thalia wanted, it will be what Thalia gets.
"Come on" she told her with an inviting smile and grabbed her hand to cross the street.
They walked into the store and Thalia looked around with a wide eyes, looking at all the clothes. Her mouth opened and the corner of her mouth lifted into a half smile. She pursed her lips and turned to see Thea, her eyes shining with excitement.
Thea wondered why hasn't she started to look at the clothes, then she realized Thalia was waiting for her to let her go see. She nodded her head to encourage her and Thalia slipped her hand out of hers to go to the nearest clothes rack.
While Thalia looked around the store, going from one rack to the other, Thea walked up to an employee.
"Hi, how much does the outfit in the window cost?" Thea pointed at the outfit Thalia had stared at.
