"Scene Two - Rodger Rabbit" - Sleeping With SirensJACK
SEPTEMBER 29thEver since the night Leah told me that she would say yes if I asked her to marry me, I've been in deep thought about it. Looking up wedding stuff every time I could and when she's not paying attention. I think I'm sort of obsessed. I mean, what person writes down every idea and every little detail that they have for their wedding? Maybe it's normal, maybe it's not. I'm really stressing out about it and I have no one to talk to. I can't ask Rian or Zack because they'll just laugh at me and I'm scared to ask Alex out of fear that he'll get all butt-hurt about me even thinking of marrying Leah.
"Woah, hey there dark circles." Leah jokes and sits in front of me. "Are you okay? You look exhausted as hell." "Forty-eight hours with only about three hours of sleep, yeah I'm pretty fucking exhausted but I just can't seem to rest." I weakly say. "Well, I don't know what's gotten you so worked up, but promise me that when I leave this room you'll go to sleep and rest as long as you need to." She looks at me with worry in her eyes. "I think I'll sleep better if you're next to me." I gently grab her hand. "Jack, you know why I'm not sleeping in your room." She sighs. "You don't want me to feel extra lonely when you're at work, I know. But just for tonight, okay? I really need it." I plead. She thinks for a moment, "Fine." "Thank you." I smile. "Don't thank me. I'm doing it so you won't have to feel like a zombie anymore." She chuckles.

NOVEMBER 1st
While Leah's at work, I'm getting set up for when she comes back. It's finally our one-year anniversary and I honestly couldn't be more happy about it. Despite me hiding most of my romantic side, I'm definitely showing it today.
"Rose petals, check. Hand written note, check, decorations, check. Gift-" I dig around in my front pocket. "Oh shit." I go into panic mode and start retracing my steps but can't find it.
Ten minutes later I pick up a pillow on the couch and find it. I scoff at myself and put it in my pocket.
After making sure everything is where it should be, I sit on the couch and continue to research more wedding stuff until she comes home. From what Leah told me, she really likes her job which is great. It's completely lonely without her here but I'm slowly learning that she's not gone forever. The latest she's worked so far is to 11 o'clock at night. She's also mentioned that she made some friends, her and her boss, Natalie, get along well too.
There's a knock on the door so I get up to answer it. When I open the door, there's a guy who kind of resembles a young Alex. "Hi, is Leah here?" He asks with a strong English accent. "She's at work. I think I met you before." I narrow my eyes in thought. "Yeah, I come to your bands concerts a lot." He laughs. "Oh, Daemon right?" I say. "Yup." He nods. "Sorry to bother you."
"It's no problem. If you come back tomorrow she'll be here."
"Okay, thanks." He smiles and leaves.
I'm not concerned about Leah hanging out with him. It's not like I haven't talked to him before, he's super nice and doesn't seem like a guy who would try to make a move on her.

LEAH
It was a fun day at work, but I'm looking forward to going home for the simple fact that today is Jack and I's one-year anniversary. A year already, it's all gone so fast.
I open the front door and the house is quiet.. too quiet. I know Jack planned something because of the way he was acting earlier this week. I admire the decorations on the way up the stairs to my room. Yeah, he's definitely hiding somewhere. When I see that there's rose petals leading into my room, I slow my walking. He's really going all out this time. I follow the petals to my bed where there's a note. I open it and it reads in his nicest handwriting yet; "Get dressed in something nice and meet me in the backyard. Yours truly, Jack."
I smile to myself and set the note on my vanity then go into my closet. After two minutes of deciding on what to wear, I put on a black strapless dress with a big red ribbon wrapped around my waist and tied into a bow, red high heels, and a couple accessories. I curled my hair and put on my signature makeup then went downstairs like he told me to in the note. I open the back door and see that he did up the whole backyard. I look to the side and see Jack on his phone. "Hey." I chuckle. He instantly jumps up and sets his phone on the table, "Sorry. I didn't know you were there." "It's fine. Did you do all this yourself?" I ask. "Yeah. It wasn't hard." He shrugs. "Before I forget, I got you something last month and have been dying to give it to you ever since." I hand him the guitar pick I got personalized to have our intials on it with a heart. Corny, I know. "This is amazing." He stares at it in awe. "I would give your gift to you now, but it's better to wait until later." "I see how it is." I laugh.
CHERRY
3 HOURS LATER"Holy shit, Zack! Come look at this!" I shout and Zack comes into the room. "What?" He asks. "Jack's about to propose to my best friend." I can't help but smile. "No way. That's not possible. Jack is non-committal when it comes marriage." He crosses his arm over his chest. "See for yourself." I show him my phone screen. On it is a picture Jack posted a couple minutes ago. The picture is of a very beautiful ring. It's the kind of ring Leah would be completely overjoyed to have. With the caption; "It's time, wish me luck."
"Oh man, you aren't kidding." He chuckles.

Jack and I talked a lot about stuff while we ate dinner, which he ordered because he says, and I quote, "I can't cook", but he hasn't even tried. Anyway, just a couple minutes ago he said that he had to grab something from in the house. I get a text from Cherry and look at my phone.
"You're in for a surprise. Btw, congrats c;"
I furrow my eyebrows at it and am about to text back when Jack opens the door. "Did you find what you were looking for?" I raise my eyebrows. "Yup." He smiles and walks up to me. "Are you okay?" I ask with a laugh then he starts to get down on one knee. I swallow hard and my heart begins to beat faster.
