"Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" - Panic! At The Disco
ALEX
Should I tell her?
I couldn't think of a good excuse so I was pretty much screwed at the moment.
"You look like you've seen a ghost. What's going on with you? You can tell me anything, you know that." She placed her hand on my shoulder supportively but I flinched, which made her draw it back to her side.
"I can't. Actually." I said and she just raised a eyebrows suspiciously. "I should get back to my hotel." I started walking away.
"Lex!"
I heard her call but I pretended I didn't hear it.
LEAH
As I watched him walk away, lots of thoughts raced through my mind.
Seriously, what is wrong with him? He's never acted this way before and it's both confusing and worry-some.
"Where did Alex go?"
I turned around and saw Jack standing in the doorway.
"Back to the hotel I guess." I shrugged. "Is he acting weird again?" He sighed and I nodded. "Don't worry, he probably just thought about Lisa or something."
He attempted to reassure me, but it didn't entirely work. I appreciate that he tried though.
"Are you gonna go back to the hotel too?" I asked. "Nah. I'll think I'll stay with you and leave Alex to think about whatever's on his mind." He smiled.

When we got back to my apartment, we just sat and talked about random stuff until we heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I said and stood up then walked over to the door. I opened it and Alex came rushing in.
"Look Leah, I'm really sorry about what I did. I just want to tell you the reason why I was ma-"
He stopped talking when he saw Jack sitting there with the same expression I probably had on my face.
"Can I talk to you in the other room?" He turned to me and I nodded. "Sure."
"Be right back." I said to Jack then lead Alex to the kitchen.
"What's up?" I asked. "Oh I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?" He sounded mad. "No." I chuckled. "Yeah. Right." He scoffed. "Why are you getting so mad?"
"Because.." He sighed. "Because I feel like you're losing interest in having me as your best friend and gaining more with Jack instead." His eyes looked everywhere, but at me.
He was lying.
"Alex, you're lying." I said his full name to show how serious I was about this.
"I'm not." He denied. "Yes, you are. Why can't you just tell me the truth? What is so bad about it?" I questioned. "I just can't. I'm sorry, I really am. But I should go." He suddenly said and quickly left.
I was even more worried and confused now. Why would he come in here like that then just leave? There's so many possibilities.
I walked back into the living room dumbfounded.
"What happened?" Jack asked. "To be honest, I don't know." I responded.
After that, he dropped the subject and we continued talking and laughing about random things until about 7:15 PM.
