Chapter 6: Harsh Battle PT1

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEMON TENTACLES?" A police force member yells as he jumps up from his chair.
"IM NOT JOKING! THE WHOLE SCHOOL HAS BEEN EVACUATED BECAUSE OF IT! SEND THE POLICE FORCE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT!" The unknown person on the other end of the phone yells.
"Alright, I'm on it!" The police force member replies. "JOHNNY! GET THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO LOREMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL!"
"Yes boss!" Johnny replies back.
"Denis! Your sister's in that school, you better head over there! Bring Cory and Dave with you!" The boss yells.
"Whats going on big chief?" Denis asks. "Some sorta demonic tentacles started appearing out of an inter-dimensional portal, and most of the others are on duty! This is a code red so be cautious! The fire department will be there in case you need help with rescue." The boss replies as the 3 police force members begin to head out.
"Big chief, we'll be aight! 3 police force members is more than enough."

Meanwhile, the students in the school are still having their little scramble with the tentacles in the science room, until they begin to notice that a massive, more powerful being is coming out.
"Maybe we should start running?" Nelson says.
"I guess we should, we never know when the police force will come and I'm not getting killed by some inter-dimensional being." James replies.
And so they begin to run out of the classroom, but during that they finally get their first glance at the full body of the mysterious tentacles.
It's a small squid like creature with 4 tentacles, with one large eye in the middle of its face. It has 2 ribcage like bones on the outside of its coarse skin and is taller than an average human.

"Where should we go? That thing wont stop chasing after us!" Flare exclaims.
"Maybe we could hide at the end of a hallway, it's our best bet." Lila replies.
"Why don't we just get outta here before we get killed?" Erik asks. "We need to buy time for the students to all escape, you can still hear the commotion outside so they clearly haven't!" James replies in an angry tone. Suddenly, the monster starts to charge up a beam, seemingly coming out of its bottom area. "Guys, turn left!" James yells. They all jump to the left as the beam demolishes the middle hallway they were just in.
"It's a dead end!" Eli says.
"I can find the best route to loose him, but its gonna take a minute." B1 tells everyone. "Please do! We'll hold off the demon for as long as possible!" Nelson replied.
"The demon? What type of name is that? That does not look like a demon!" Grace said. "It's just a name I came up with while we were running, and we didn't even get a great glimpse on it, what if it has horns-" Nelson says but is cut off as a ear-ringing roar comes out from the middle hallway. The demon then turns to the left and begins to attack the group with another beam, however James creates a crystal wall.
"The walls gonna crack any second now, Nelson I need you!" James yells. "I got it!" Nelson replies, turning on his special rage mode in the process.
The second the crystal wall breaks, Nelson jumps straight at the demon and hits it with extremely strong punches and kicks, until he is pushed back.

The demon then picks him with one of its tentacles and throws him straight through the wall, breaking it and landing into the nearby bathroom.
"Huh.. so this is what the girls bathroom looks like. Boring." Nelson says jokingly. Although he seems alright, his left arm was the reason the wall broke and was in a lot of pain. Nelson ran out of the bathroom and said "Its too strong! We gotta get out of here!"
"Then I'll hold him back for a bit while everyone else escapes, but we're gonna need that route B1!" James exclaims. "The route is ready, were gonna have to go up to the library and escape through the window once all the students are evacuated, its the only safe area we can wait for the police force and the best area for an exit!" B1 replies.

James then turns on of his crystals into a staff and attacks the demon head on. He hits back on of the tentacles aiming for him then pushes the main body to a wall. He then hits it with the staff at maximum strength and slams the demon straight through the wall, causing it to let out a ear-ringing screech. Everyone else goes through the opposite side of the hallway and once everyone gets back to the middle hallway, James rushes to them.
Without any speech whatsoever, they all make their way to the library using the stairs at the end of the hallway. One by one, they each make their way up in different ways.
Nelson makes his way up by climbing the wall but nearly falls at the top, however Lila catches her as she went up the stairs normally yet very quickly. Erik and Eli climb up the first flight of stairs, then Erik boosts Eli up past the second flight so he can pull him up. (There are a lot of stairs.)

Flare and grace were also going to climb the stairs normally, however Grace realized there wasn't enough time for that, so she grabbed Flares hand and used a flamethrower attack to lift up into the air and reach the second level. B1 used an extendable arm to pull himself straight past both flight of stairs quickly, and James just used his staff, and extended it so he could reach the second level. Once they were all up, they ran through the hallways while the demon was still right on their tail, until they eventually reached the library.
Flare and the others then knew things would start to get tough.
