Furivorus and the group are climbing up the mountain ranges that were near the state park, where it got increasingly more colder and snow could be seen spreading around the area.
"So, Flare and Grace, do you guys have a proprium?" Furivorus asked.
"Well.. no. I didn't really think I was going to be fighting like this, so I never got fully in touch with my powers." Flare said.
"I don't think I have one either, but I have good control of my flames cause I wanted to be a firefighter when I was little." Grace said.
"Propriums are very easy to activate, and trust me, you will want it when we go up against the demon when we reach that city of yours. It's like reaching into the inside of your body with an invisible hand, and pulling out pure power. I'll teach it to you guys once my power reaches 5%." Furivorus exclaimed. They finally reached the peak of the mountain they were on, where Furivorus felt the life force surging around. The others did not as they were not influenced by the mythical of souls actual life force, due to how she did not release it up until now, and because she existed millions of years ago. They looked everywhere around, yet they couldn't actually find what type of sleeping form she took. They wondered if it was a snowball, or a block of ice, or just normal stone.
While looking around, Lila saw a snowflake drop in the shape of a diamond, which confused her.
"Hey Furivorus, come look at this!" She said. Furivorus ran over, and looked down. He recognized the heart shape, and felt Loris life force when he tilted closer down.
"Thats her!" He said. "The issue is, she must've added some sort of special puzzle so no one awakens her on accident."
"I thought you said you guys wouldn't be awakened unless you wanted to be?" James exclaimed.
"Oh. Yeah you're right." Furivorus said as he laughed nervously. He continued to examine the snowflake, looking for a way to awaken it.Erik looked back at the view atop the wonderful mountains in the meantime, but he regretted what he saw. Three very powerful zombies were on the way to the top of the mountain, and they looked very mad. Each of them resembled the being him and the others fought in that small field not too long ago, which completely freaked him out.
"Guys! Guys! Look!" He shouted, causing everyone to look in the same direction and see the zombies.
"Wait a minute, this is perfect! Lori told me that she just needed three souls of any being to revive herself, and we have someone who can use soul power right here!" Furivorus said happily.
"Uh- I-I'm not really the fighter type.." Lila stuttered and shook. "I've barely used any of my powers before."
"You can do it, I can tell you have a lot of life force within you. Lori told me that it would be easy, it all depends on how life force the enemy has at the moment you try and extract the soul. We just have to beat them up until they're low on it, then you can at least attempt it." Furivorus said with a friendly grin. "Besides, even if we don't revive her, I'm still the strongest mythical! We will defeat that monster in no time."
Just then, the zombies began to attack with all their might. One of them used the beam to shoot pellets at Furivorus, while the other 2 created giant snowballs with their telekinetic abilities. They were thrown and James and Flare, yet they both managed to dodge it.
"I think I should sit this one out guys, my arms still hurt like hell!" Flare said as he ran back as quickly as possible. James on the other hand went straight for one of the zombies, leaving the others to deal with the last two.
James threw a right hook at the zombie, but it blocked it as it went for an uppercut. James grabbed the fist and then grabbed its wrist, then lifted it up with all his might and slammed it down onto the other side of the ground. It got up and used its extendable arm to try and grab James, which jump-scared him, but he blocked it by creating a slab of wood from the ground. The zombie punched through the slab of wood, but James was one step ahead as he used the time to run out of the way and throw multiple leaf shurikens. The zombie, actually called a sentient was luckily hit by them, but retaliated by summoning three smaller zombies.
"James has a pretty decent fighting style, but he needs to work on his arsenal. I see a lot of potential in him. I feel like the rest of you guys can handle this on your own, and if you cant, I will take over. I want to see all of you guys use your full abilities." Furivorus said. The others nodded and were ready to face the 2 sentients.
"Alright, me, Lila, and Erik on one enemy, while Grace and Eli on the other!" B1 said. They split from there and began to fight. B1 saw that the sentient was using its extendable arm, so he did the same, and their punches collided. He then used his arm cannon, and fired it at intervals. The sentient kept dodging, but didn't realize that a drone was above the air, which was being controlled by Erik. It dropped a smoke grenade on top of the demon, which made the sentient very confused. It combatted the smoke grenade with its beamer to clear it, but was met with a surprise attack from Lila. She coated her hands in soul power, and when she got a punch it, it drained the sentients life force slightly. Lila didn't realize that the sentient was about to shoot a beam of energy at her, as she closed her eyes and prayed when she punched it. B1 grabbed her and ran out of the smoke puff right before it shot it, and told her to duck as the beam began to spin around throughout the area.
"We need to get it distracted, if I hit it with a beam of energy, it will most likely be put on the verge of death!" B1 said.Meanwhile, Grace was toe to toe with the sentient she was facing. Eli was tinkering with a machine in the background, which looked like a miniature turret of some kind. Grace used the fire fighting style to create more deadly blows, yet she wasn't able to land any. She jumped back and used her flamethrower ability, but the sentient was fast enough to escape the radius of it, which shocked her.
She continued to fight with her fists, which had a smooth flow to them, as if she was controlling water instead. It was precise and calm, yet was entirely deadly, like a praying mantis. She dodged with extreme precision, and you could directly tell she was decently trained when it came to battle, even if she had never done it before.
""Grace! Im almost done!" Eli screamed as the machine started to make loud beeping and electronic noises. Grace nodded at him as she had to focus, but she was almost instantly caught off guard when the sentient began shooting pellets from its horns. She continued to dodge them, but was unfortunately getting tired, which lead to her getting hit on the arm by one of the bullets.
Just in time though, Eli finished his machine and shot the demon multiple times. It fell to the ground and groaned, meaning it was still alive but barely breathing. Grace was thankfully only slightly damaged on her left arm, but it still was a very close call.
James had just finished dealing with the three spawned zombies, and now he was back on fighting the sentient. He looked around for any items he could use, and he figured if he used his skin hardening technique and landing a few good punches on the sentient, he would manage to make it unconscious. He went straight in as the demon shot multiple bullets, however he dodged them at the best speed possible. He ran headfirst into it as it blocked his head with both its arms, then he repeated the process until the sentient's hands were banged up enough. Once it was, he pretended like he was going to headbutt again, but instead, he hit it with an insane burst of strength, blowing it away a good few meters. It was surprising for the both of them, as James had never actually had extreme strength.
Furivorus walked up behind him, and looked at the damage.
"Sentivorus had this type of strength, but y'know, a lot stronger. It came with his ability, I think it was called the earth sage mode. Maybe you're tapping into that power!" He said as he smiled widely. To end it off, Lila, B1, and Erik were fighting the last sentient. They were still dodging the beams of energy coming through the now clearing smoke cloud. It was clear to them that the three sentients they were currently facing were pretty weak compared to the first one they actually fought.
Erik pulled out a small toy from his pocket, and turned it on. It moved forward and kept creeping closer to the sentient, which grabbed its attention and caused it to get distracted. Lila used her soul energy to make B1 jump higher, and then B1 shot a huge beam of blue energy straight at the sentient, which caused it to go unconscious."Okay.. here goes nothing." Lila said as she began to extract the souls of the unconscious sentients. It seemed terribly tricky for her to even attempt, as she began to sweat as she pulled up, as if she was carrying weights on her palms. Blue orbs began strolling out pf the sentients heads, and then shortly after, all three of them were fully out and were surrounding Lila.
"One more step." James said as he looked at the snowflake that fell on the ground. They all walked up to it and look down, waiting for Lilas move. She looked nervous, yet finally got herself to push all three souls straight down to the snowflake. The souls were sucked in, as if the snowflake was a black hole, then suddenly, a beautiful woman appeared out of nowhere.
Her face was majestic, as she had bright blue eyes that pulsed as she looked around. Her skin was a perfect tint of normal blue, and she had a ghost like aura the same color of her transparent skin from the waist down. The heart from the snowflake was in the middle of her chest, and she had white straps that looked like something you'd wrap your leg in when it's broken covering her chest. She was absolutely stunning, and everyone other than Furivorus couldn't believe she was actually a real living being.
She had a warm voice that reminded everyone of a makeup artist from some sort of movie or dream, it just felt unrealistic to them.
"Ugh, that was some sleep! What time is it?" She said as she ran her hand through her luscious blue hair.
