Nobody's POV:
Tom walks in town, he decided to get day off today and doesn't have to work. He looked up at the sky, clouds were gloomy meaning I'll probably rain pretty soon.
He then speeds up his legs so by time he reaches to the market then he'll won't get soaking wet. Also making sure Jake wasn't around and try not to eye contact the bakery shop.
There was no sign of him.
Tom's POV:
I walked in to the marketplace just to get some few things I need back at home, my eyes wander around while I'm walking with a shopping cart. Making 100% sure he's not here.
But no, jake was here. My eyes wide, I quickly walked as fast as I can just to not bump into him or anything.
After walking far away at the store I then sighed in relief, then just went to get some groceries for home.
Few minutes later
I've now gotten everything I need, phew. Reached to the cash register, she kindly smiled while scanning the items.
"Alright, that'll be $8.99" she said softly.
Nodded and pull out my wallet, suddenly I hear a male voice calling me, turn to see it was Jake.
"Tom!" He waved to get my attention, my eyes wide in shock even the cash register lady noticed him.
"Um, sir, that man is calling yo-" before she could finish her sentence I cut her off.
"Here's the money have a nice day! Uh, Keep the change!!" I slammed the money by the scanner and ran out the market, suddenly a lightning appear and the rain also.
I sighed "shit." Beginning to walk in the sidewalk in the rain while carrying groceries.
I hear his splashing footsteps coming up to me, noticing it was Jake again who is chasing after me, he speaks softly "Tom wait! Can we talk?"
