Part twelve - The bar

Nobody's POV:

Tom and jake then walks inside. A lot of people was here they looked like they were partying, and some were holding vodka while drunk. they both looked at people awkwardly. they weren't expecting to see this many people here, a waiter comes up to them and guide them to a table, as they both sit down tom grabs a menu and he looks through it "I'm getting myself some whiskey, what about you?" he asked jake.

Jake looks up at him "just a detox that's all, and here's some money for us to pay for our drinks." he hands the money to tom and then continue play with his fingertips. he seems to be nervous for some reason. They both just listen to people talking, the music and cheering.

Waiter comes back holding a notepad and a pen in their hand "Alright what type of drinks do y'all want?" They said softly.

"I'd like some whiskey and he wants a detox." Tom points at him and Jake.

Waiter nodded as they write down their order, then walked away to get the drinks. Tom looks at jake who is looking at different ways trying to avoid eye contact with him. He sighed then does the same thing also.

he then finally breaks the silence "Saw your old Instagram pictures, i didn't know you had a boyfriend that time, who's that anyway?" tom say.

jake sighed and looks at him. "That's my ex. I was in a toxic relationship, and he cheated on me... yeah i don't want to say the rest." tom eyes wide in surprise.

"Oh but is this weird that we're both exes and we are like talking to each other again exes should be like enemies, right?" tom raises his eyebrow.

Jake shrugged "Well...not all of them, we are is just friends. for now." tom nodded in agreement.

"I suppose i didn't ask this but what was his name by the way?" tom askes with concerned.

jake rubs his finger through his chin "um... his name is Troy, i thought we would be like a nice couple but i guess it was shitty."

tom chuckled through this comment. "Yeah, but don't worry about." then the waiter brings them their whiskey and detox. jake and tom both smiled at each other and took a sip of their drink, they we're having a great time together... but suddenly jake notice his ex was here?!!

he froze that he accidentally drops his drink, making a breaking glass sound. Tom looks at him with a facial expression "Jake you oka-" before he could finish his sentence jake grabbed his arm and pulled himself and tom out of there.

"Just take me home!" jake shouted. Tom nodded and they both got into tom's car and drive off of there. Troy had a sinister stare when he saw both of them leave.
