Nobody's POV:
Jake puts his his hands on his knees while trying to catch some breath, he looks up at tom who is still standing there but not even facing or looking at him.
Jake walks up to him but tries not to get any closer "please listen just for a second. I know that you wanted to take things slow, but my mind has been weird lately. Tried calling and texting but you never answered, why is tha-" before Jake could continue Tom finally spoke.
He then turned around to face him "Jake, I feel kind of guilty for ignoring you for months. But like I'd said we should take things slow alright? I know you want to talk, but, not right now."
Jake's eyes suddenly turns to disbelief from these words "Tom please-"
Tom gets a little irritated and raises his voice "Not right now!!" Then walked away without turning back.
Jake couldn't believe he was raised at, his eyes starts to get watery a little, Miriam comes behind him with an umbrella in her hand.
"Jake did you grab the eggs and flour? also i saw what just happened are you okay?" Miriam asked with concern and little worried.
jake quickly wipe his tears as he heard Miriam's voice "Yeah I've got what we need to make the cupcakes. it looks like tom doesn't want to...talk yet." he looks down with a sad expression.
Miriam puts her hand on his shoulder for comfort "I'll be okay, just let him think about it and you should also."
jake sighed and nodded "Your right. let's just go back to the bakery shop." they both begin to walk back while in the soft rain.
