Nobody's POV:
Tom makes it back to his house, hang his police hat and jacket on a coat rack. national news was still playing on television he must've forgotten to turn it off before leaving for work. Tom rubs his eyes as he sits down on the couch, His phone then makes a notification beep, tom doesn't grab it because he knew who was texting him.
Suddenly he hears another notification beep, he just power off his phone for some peace and quiet for the rest of his night.
Tom felt guilty for ignoring Jake this long now, but he remember Miriam telling him to not to speak and ever seeing him after the season ended. But tom kinda had to do it for his feelings to not be terrible and shitty.
A news reporter speaks about a sick dog that has been in a shelter for a month, tom makes a sad face "aw poor dog. hope it feels well soon." tom turns off his television and walked to his bedroom.
As he reaches his bedroom the bright moon flashes through the window, making the room look nice. Tom looks amazed by this full moon this bright. As for staring at it to long he gets under the covers and shut his eyes.
