Superman:

The door will swing open with a bang, which he doesn't mean but he doesn't care, and drags himself in. If you aren't near he just flops on the nearest bed or couch then goes right to sleep.

If you are near he pulls you in such a tight hug you have to remind him not to crush your bones but hug him back and rub his back or head until he finally calms down and moves away. Sometimes he wants to talk about it, other times he just wants to be with you and forget about it.

Batman:

He needs silence. He needs to just sit in his batcave in silence with a hand to his forehead as if he has a headache and just recall it all, think where it went wrong, etc.

After a few minutes you may come in and slowly approach him then hug him gently. No words, just silence. Silent comfort is the best type in these moments. Any words you say he will reject. If you say "You did your best" he will reply; "I could have done better". If you say "It'll be okay", he will just reply "You don't know".

Wonder Woman:

If she was beaten she feels like a failure, unworthy of having the title of a warrior and hero, so she doesn't want to talk as she'll be in a defensive state and it would just end up in an argument.

But if she just had an exhausting day she will hug you first thing, sighing of what had happened and what she wishes to just do now to relax and lift her spirits.

J'onn J'onzz:

He will return home, feeling so exhausted and as if he's carrying something heavy on his shoulders. But then he will see you and it feels manageable.

And then it is gone when you hug him and provide him with assuring and comforting words while getting him things he likes. He likes to take care of you, but on days like these he can appreciate being taken care of.

Flash:

If it's stress/sadness he just flops in yiur arms and cry. He just needs to let it out. Having your fingers run through his hair, your lips pecking his face, limbs around him: it is perfection and fixes his sadness so fast.

If he's angry you have to sit there and his audience to him pacing around wildly and complaining so fast you don't catch a word of it. With a lot of looking at you for confirmation. Many arms held out with 'or am I the insane one here?!' or 'What was that even about?!'. Once down his anger is gone and he is back to his usual self. So he will finish with a bow, thanking you for having come to his ted talk.

Hawkgirl:

She will come home and go do her thing. She does not need any hug or talking to right now because she won't take it as comfort but feel attacked and try to deflect it all so just give her until she has calmed down, rationalized it all, and just had her alone time.

Then she will come out, now in need of your comfort. It's gonna be ordering in food that day so she can have some comfort food.

Green Lantern:

If he's angry he tries to keep it under control but then second you say something he picks up wrong an argument happens. If he's sad he just wants to lay on the couch, stare at nothing, and wonder about it all. He will appreciate you coming to cuddle him and helping him figure it out.

If he's stressed he will just go for a walk before going home. He knows being stuck inside and with someone won't help so for the good for you two he will go for a walk to clear his mind. Once home he can talk about it or just acts as if work took longer and all is fine.
