"Courts are often associated with law enforcement agencies. However, this is not the case; modern legislation does not impose the duty to combat offenses on the court."
The state of vegetable... will it ever end?
"The court is a judicial body; it resolves disputes between the plaintiff and defendant in civil cases or between the prosecution and defense in criminal cases. The court cannot perform any prosecutorial functions or conduct criminal prosecution. It bears no responsibility for the state of legality and law and order."
I prop my head up with my hand...why is it so heavy?
"The content of the discipline includes the following questions:
- the concept of the court, its functions, tasks, questions determining their powers, such as the concept of judicial power, justice, etc.;
- principles of their organization and activities, principles of justice are set out."
"Arthur, is this really not interesting, or am I just too tired and my brain is swelling from the lecture?" I ask quietly, peeking at how all the students are attentively listening to the lecturer.
"Hah, Kira, are you sure you chose the right profession?" He raises an eyebrow at me.
"Well, I was definitely sure," I reply to him, staring in a stupor at the lecturer, who is mechanically reciting the well-worn lecture.
"I'm personally interested. You just missed a lot of classes, and I'm afraid it will be hard for you to catch up on the material."
"And did the curator ask why I've been absent for so long?"
"No, but I've been asking you that constantly in texts, to which you still haven't replied! And you don't answer calls. Kira, what happened? Where have you been all this time?" He bursts out.
"Um... got caught up with work, Arthur," I respond without much emotion.
"What's so interesting about that job? Is it better there than being here with us?"
His questions throw me into an even greater stupor. I'm already not thinking straight.
"Where did you get that idea? These days were just really tough. And then my brother came over, and it turned into a big argument. He couldn't find me...and I fell asleep and didn't answer him... Then he forced me to reconcile with dad."
"And how's your dad?"
"He was crying..."
"Oh...really?" He's surprised.
"Yeah, and I feel like scum for seeing such a strong man suddenly break down. Have you ever cried?"
"Well, there were a couple of times, tears welled up a bit, and that's it. Not gushing like a girl," he chuckled a little.
"He wasn't gushing either. But it was painfully heartbreaking to see that scene."
"When interpreting an international treaty, along with its context, subsequent practice in the application of the treaty must be taken into account, establishing the agreement of the parties regarding its interpretation.
The lecture is over by now. I'll pass on the homework through the class representative. Goodbye." The lecturer said dryly and mechanically, then left the classroom.
