Shift 24
How tired I am of this tiger outfit. I feel like I'm not as attractive in it anymore.
"Mary, aren't you sick of my lingerie yet?"
She turned to me and without thinking replied:
"Not really, but you'd better buy something new. Otherwise, the administrators will give you a warning soon. They don't like when girls dance in the same thing."
Mary has changed a lot during this time. Literally in two months, she managed to dye and grow her hair, get a perm. Now they cover her butt in length. Small wavy curls, like Barbie's, dark copper with a reddish tint. She even plumped up her lips a bit. Let's not even talk about outfits. There are three times more of them now. I need to treat myself to something new. But I really don't enjoy shopping in stores at all. It's better to browse the Internet. There's time before I start dancing.
A cute pink set. I've never had anything like that in my wardrobe. I'll take it.
I navigate through the familiar maze to go dance. I climb up to the pole as usual. I dance beautifully as usual, performing a few easy tricks. I catch the appreciative glances of men as usual. Lately, I've been feeling comfortable here...safe, like at home. In familiar walls where nothing and no one threatens you. Where you're always fed, watered, and warm. I'm comfortable, I've gotten used to it, and I'm too lazy to change anything. It's a warm, relaxed place. It's easy and fun here. Carefree... But the thought itself doesn't calm me down, it scares me.
A waitress approaches me and delivers an invitation to sit at the table with the man across from me. M-m-m...a usually young handsome man. Five minutes ago, girls were trying to sit next to him, and from afar I saw him turning them down. How pleasant...
"Hi. Did you call me?" Just asking nicely, I sit closer to him.
"Hey, yeah, beauty." He looks at me and smiles at the chance to get a closer look. "What's your name?""Kara, and yours?"
"Roma."
A light-haired man up to his thirties. His face is slimmer than Andrey's, and he himself is leaner. No stubble, cleanly shaven. Toned and slim. High cheekbones and gray-blue eyes. He's wearing a white shirt and dark jeans. Drinking tea...
"What will you have?" He suggests ordering something from the menu for me.
"A cocktail." I order the usual one.
The bartenders already know not to put alcohol in it.
"Why don't you drink alcohol? Driving?"
"Both driving and not drinking alcohol in general." He politely replies.
"Athlete?" I begin to guess, trying to smoothly find out what he does.
I need to understand if I'm just sitting here for nothing!
"IT specialist. I have my own company, but I also do sports." He takes a sip of his tea.
All is well. We stay in our places.
"Do you want to stay here or shall we go to a restaurant for dinner?" He asks this question, and I'm surprised.
Usually, I was offered to go to a hotel.
"Um...do you just want to go to a restaurant?" I cautiously inquire.
"Well, later we will go to my place, of course." He laughs and puts his hand above my knee. "I don't like going straight to having sex. I'm interested in just sitting and chatting with a girl in a regular place."
Oh, sure. And here I was thinking... Well then, I don't see the point of showing my face in this club again."I'd go right now."
"Great. Order for five hours."
I get dressed and go out to meet him. Roma is waiting for me by the exit. I walk towards him and he, noticing me, moves from his spot.
"You look good." He smiles and hugs me around the waist, leading me to the car.
"Ha-ha! Better dressed!?"
"Not worse." Roma opens the car door for me.
Wow... so gallant. Am I really a stripper?
He has an old model white Lexus. Inside, there's a black leather interior and it's very cozy.
"There is a girl named Maya working in your club. I was told she's off today. Do you have her number?" The young businessman asks.
"Why do you need her number?" I ask in bewilderment.
It's not very polite to ask it through me. It's slightly offensive.
"Well, I stopped by your club a couple of days ago and I liked both of you. And by the time I looked at everyone, you both disappeared somewhere. I wanted to take you both."
"A couple of days ago... oh, yes." I paused for a moment, trying to remember what I was doing a couple of days ago. "I left then..." I abruptly fell silent, almost saying with whom, thinking it wouldn't be too interesting for him. "Well, you could have chosen someone else. There are many beautiful girls there." I shrug.
"I only liked both of you. So, do you have her number? How do you even communicate with her? Could you call her now?"
