Tempest's POV
I let out an agitated sigh with an added eye roll as Taraji's head fell to the side when I tried to give her water for the tenth time tonight. She's just too far gone and I'm not about to babysit a woman who's 25 years my senior. I don't know what Fantasia sees in her. What did my dad see in her to make him decide to give almost all of his time to her and only a fraction of his time to me? She had the perfect upbringing and she still turned out to be a fucking mess. It's pathetic and she disgusts me. She doesn't even realize how lucky she truly is. If I had her life, I would never take it for granted the way that she does. However, she's still my sister and she's the only family I have left, so I'm going to give it some more time and try to work harder to understand her. It's obvious that she's battling some dark demons. I don't know how to feel about her yet. I brushed her hair out of her eyes as she let out little whimpers in her half-sleep state and turned her head from side to side. She was muttering Fantasia's name with tears rolling down her cheeks. I wiped them away and kissed her forehead. I feel like the big sister right now. I need to gain her trust and get her to let me in.
Omniscient's POV
Having a feeling that her friend was about to do something stupid and dangerous, Danielle had managed to convince the police to track Fantasia instead of Kendall. She knew that wherever Fantasia was, Kendall would most likely be there, too. For her daughter's sake, she would have to do her part in helping her friend by protecting her and backing her up from a distance. Meanwhile, Fantasia was punching the gas all the way to her house. That's where her and Kendall had shared some of the most significant moments of their story, so that's where their story would have to end. By the time she got there, Kendall was already waiting for her in the pitch black darkness. She was going to be in for the fight of her life, but she also wasn't going to make it easy for him. When she thinks about her future, she sees herself in a big house that belongs to her and Taraji, and her kids are running wild and free in the backyard while they watch them with their hands held together. Kendall doesn't fit anywhere into that picture, so he has to be permanently cut out of the frame.
