Sitting on your couch you and Áedán enjoyed some breakfast together talking about what he had got up to yesterday. You loved these small moments you got together where it just felt like you were back home in your apartment. Slowly munching on your toast you wondered if you would ever be able to go home again, you'd started to feel homesick even more recently, at least there nobody wanted you dead.
A knock sound at the door. "Come in" you called out.
It was Sif, you should have guessed but it was earlier than normal.
"Morning princess!"
"I've told you, stop calling me that!"
"Sif!" exclaimed Áedán, running over to her. Sif picked him up and walked over to sit down next to you, keeping him on her lap.
"Bad nights sleep?" Sif questioned picking up on your mood.
"Kinda, but you'll be happy to know dinner stayed down. But I'm guessing that's not why you're here?"
Oh that's awesome! And no, I have some news," Sif said a little hesitantly.
"Good or bad?" You sat up straighter at her tone.
"Depends..."
"Odin knows? Helena found out and is currently finding a dagger for my back?" You raised your eyebrows.
"They're coming back this afternoon."
"Oh." Was all you could say.
Your room suddenly became Grand Central station, Frigga walked into your room without knocking Stiorra following close behind looking very flustered.
"Good, you're up and eating. Right, I've convinced the Allfather to allow you to be there when they return. Do not mention anything for now, let's just break the news to him slowly."
"And when I start throwing up? Loki's not stupid, he's gonna ask why."
"You had a relapse." Frigga didn't miss your eyeroll in response and pursed her lips. "Stiorra, make sure she eats something for lunch. Sif, come with me."
You watched Frigga and Sif leave wondering what had just happened. Stiorra just ushered you towards the bathroom commenting about hoping to make you look somewhat presentable.
A bath and lunch some time later you felt...not you.
"Stiorra I don't know, won't it make it obvious?" you asked looking in the mirror trying to see if the dress hid your small bump. Frigga had provided you with some new dresses and tunics with an empire line cut so as to accommodate and hopefully hide your growing bump.
"Wear this over the top then," she said, throwing your favourite red coat at you.
Putting it on you looked back at the mirror sighing. "I don't know Stiorra." Placing your hand on your stomach.
"You look fine." She smiled at you, walking over to embrace you in a warm hug. "Dont stress, it's not good for the baby." Slightly shaking your shoulders.
"Yes mum," you laughed in response.

Standing next to Sif on the bottom of the steps in the throne room, you looked around taking in the details and trying to hide your nerves. You had not stepped back in here since your first day, and it felt like a lifetime ago. It still seemed stark in comparison to you when the rest of the palace teemed with life, but it appeared brighter today for some reason allowing you to make out the carvings that covered the columns. Hlidskjalf loomed behind you with Odin sitting waiting for his sons to enter.
