Avery woke up and took a few blinks before remembering she was in her childhood home in London. The brunette glanced at the old clock beside her bed as she looked at the time.
8:27 AM
She stretches before going downstairs where she finds her mother sitting on the couch with Maddie by her side as she plays with her.
“Morning, honey. How's sleep? You want me to clean your room?” Cora asked her daughter with a small smile.
Avery shook her head as she answered.
“Yeah, I did. Don't worry about the room. It was always messy when I stayed here.”
Cora laughed and nodded before returning her gaze on her grand kid who was fixing her doll's dresses while Avery went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. She grabs an apple along with the water as she sat down on the counter top while she thumbed over her text messages. 1 from Catty, her publicist where she did check it was Catty just saying her best wishes for her brother. 6 from her best friend saying sorry and showing off some random food he made. 2 from Xavier showing off his newly adopted dog named Hunter, and finally, 3 from her loving girlfriend, Taylor.
It was sent just a few minutes ago before the brunette woke up. It was Taylor cuddling with Olivia in her bed with the text along.
T Swizzle: Dibbles and Mer miss youuuuu!!!! 😾(I miss you too actually)
T Swizzle: I'm about to go into surgery in a few hours KDHNDVFJDHJDHD AHHHHH
Avery's lips curved into a smile as she let out a chuckle, typing in a reply.
Cameron: You'll be fine, Tay. And yes I do miss the two monsters and their owner.
The blonde didn't reply after a few seconds so Avery finished her apple off and placed the empty glass on the counter before going back to her old room to pick up new clothes as she went to the bathroom to take a shower before heading out.
Once she was done with her 13 minute shower. She said goodbye to Maddie and her mom, Cora. Before heading out of her house, Avery didn't go to the hospital immediately. She decided to grab a tea or a cup of coffee at her favorite café a few blocks away from her house and highschool. Luckily it was still there, she hadn't been there in like half a decade so she thought it was probably already torn apart by machines and got replaced with a large mall, but no so she happily entered.
The place didn't change other than the few plants that were added, and s few signs. Avery headed to the counter to pick an order. Looking up the menu, noticing nothing has changed in the menu too as she orders her typical coffee whenever she goes there before going to school.
“Would that be it, ma'am?” The woman said as Avery nodded before finding an empty seat. Taking out her phone as she texted Warren.
Daughter ❤ ️: I'll be there in a few, Dad. I'm just grabbing coffee.
Three dots came up immediately as Warren typed a response to the actress.
Dad: okay. 👍
When Avery looked up, she saw the last person she would ever want to see again other than her math teacher in 7th grade. She saw Luna. Her first ever ex. Avery looked away immediately but Luna already saw her as she came up on the brunette who was clearly looking away from her as she fixed her hair.
“Avery?” The raven head asked Avery with a smile.
She instantly put up a fake smile in return when she turned around to face her.
