CHAPTER 6

Sam and Colby approached a house, no not a house, a mansion. It was a huge Georgian Style home, with a balcony that sat over the front door, and a green house attached to the left side of the house. Sam took a second before walking in to truly take in the house and all it's glory. Even though it was dark out Sam could see the true beauty of the home.

The interior was just as pretty as the exterior. A grand staircase, one that looked to hold many memories, an archway into every room, so many different renaissance style paintings that hung on every wall. A stained glass window sat above the arch that led to the kitchen. The glass portrayed the image one a man with long dark hair and pointed teeth, some red liquid dripped from the mans face and some pooled under his chin. That was something that didn't seem normal, at all.

Colby led Sam upstairs, which had seven different doors. Sam wondered what mystery was behind each one, he wanted to know the layout of each room and how they were decorated, if they were decorated.

"This will be your room, for now." Sam looked at the room in front of him, it was nothing special, definitely not as grand as he thought it would be. His curiosity about the other rooms began to decline. There was a small twin sized bed in the corner, with an even smaller table next to it. The room looked to have belonged to a child. Sam turned to see the door behind him had closed and been locked.

He sat on the bed and looked at the wall next to it, dozens of pictures hung on it. Most of them were of a family, a mom a dad and two children, a boy and a girl who couldn't be any older than seven. Sam studied the pictures, as he scanned the wall from left to right he watched the family grow up. When he looked at the last picture of the family only three of them remained, the mom the dad and the boy, who now looked to be in his early twenties. He wondered what happened to the girl, maybe she got married and moved away, or something worse happen. Something Sam thought would happen to him in the near future. Death.

Colby entered his own room, it wasn't big, in fact he didn't even sleep in the biggest room. His bed sat in the middle of the room and a picture of a girl with dark hair hung above it. He stood in front of the picture and looked at it for a few moments. A small plaque sat under it. Dorothea 1724 aged 12. He brushed his hand over the picture and smiled while tears rolled down his face.

Just a little input here but this is how I imagine different parts of the house.
