"No I didn't know." Colby held his phone to his ear and spoke in a hushed tone as to not wake Sam from his sleep. "I thought it was just us... and Alia. Fuck." The call went silent for a few moments after that, then the person on the other line hung up. Colby dropped his phone and continued his focus on the road. He muttered a few swears under his breath and put the truck in park. He looked over to Sam, his eyes were closed he was peaceful. Colby's eyes darkened, he felt his head pound and gums start to numb. He wrestled with the car door before finally spilling out of it. He dashed into the woods that were right off of the road.

As he was running his shirt caught a tree branch, he broke the branch off and in a moment of anger plunged it into his side, he let out a scream that could be heard miles away then fell onto his knees. He wondered if that was how people felt before they died.

Punishment he thought to himself. He grabbed various branches and sticks off the ground and one by one he drove them into his skin. Some he would pierce his skin slowly, the agonizing pain shooting through his body causing his breathing to stop and his cries to louden. Some he would cut straight to the point and quickly jab them into his body resulting in quieter grunts and murmurs. As Colby rammed the last branch into his body he aimed for his chest. He hoped it would hit his heart, he hoped Sam would see him and finally be able to go home, Colby wanted to rot in those woods for eternity. However, the branch missed by a mere few inches, something Colby did subconsciously. It was the most painful experience he had ever come across and sent the man who was cold as stone into a spiral of tears and sobs.

How could he be so stupid as to not remember Alia, just a hundred years ago she was all he could think about.

Colby looked up, a certain blonde haired boy stood a few yards away from Colby. "Go back to the truck." Colby said in a deep husky tone. Sam stayed where he was standing and continued to loom over Colby. Colby grew with anxiety, what if this shadow wasn't Sam?

"Colby?" Sam's soft voice asked. He walked up to Colby and saw the bloody mess that had been made. "Colby what happened?" Sam asked in a quiet manner. Colby stayed silent. Sam placed his hand on one of the branches protruding from Colby's thigh. "Is it okay if I..." Colby nodded and Sam yanked the branch out of his leg. Colby let out a gasp of pain, sam grabbed his hand and rubbed it gently, Colby squeezed his hand back.

"Can you at least tell me what happened?" They were back in the car now after a very emotional scene that just took place. Colby shook his head out of embarrassment, surely he would never tell anyone about a random break down he had in the woods that could've killed him. "You're so fucking secretive, i should have left you to die."
     "I wouldn't have died"
"Then I should've drove one of those sticks through your heart."
