A house could be seen in the distance. It wasn't very big, it wasn't small either. It had a greenish-grey exterior, a grey roof, with wooden accents. Colby's truck pulled into the gravely driveway and up to the porch.

"Stay here." Colby hopped out of the truck and walked up to the door and knocked seven times. The door flung open, there stood a man a few inches taller than Colby. He had dark drown hair and even darker brown eyes. His body was littered with tattoos, most of which probably didn't have meaning. He was an extremely intimidating man, but once he registered who was standing in front of him a wide smile creeped onto his face, he pulled Colby into a hug, "Cole! I didn't think you'd make it, the house is the same as you left it." The man opened the door wider as to invite Colby in. "Oh one second, i have someone in the truck." The guys face twisted into confusion. "Oh and it's Colby now, not Cole." He nodded and Colby walked off to the truck.

Colby opened Sam's door but blocked him from exiting. "This man is offering his house to us, if you say anything out of line I will not hesitate to snap you neck." Sam rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah yeah, whatever you say."

     "I'm not joking."

"No i get it you're a scary vampire who needs me alive but will kill me at any minute." Colby rolled his eyes and stepped out of Sam's way. Both of them walked up to the door and the man smiled as he stepped to the side and let Sam in, as Colby was about to walk in the guy shut the door a little bit and stopped Colby. His smile faded and he grabbed Colby's shoulder. "What?"

"What do you mean "what?", do you see what, or who, i just saw?!"

"You mean Sam, yes i know he's the missing guy on T.V." Colby's tone suggested him to go along with it. "We will be discussing this later." Colby nodded and pushed past him.

"Sam this is Mike, he's uh, well Mikes dead too." Sam nodded and stuck his hand out. "Good to meet you Mike."

"Yeah, good to meet you too, Sam."  Mike took a second then regained his composure. "Well your room is this way." Colby made a face  when Mike said room and not rooms, but his brain insisted it must've just been a mistake.

"Here it is, just as you left it 150 years ago." Colby stepped into the room and saw the same king sized bed and old wooden rocking chair that he had left there in 1876. "Well I'll leave you guys to it." Mike went to leave but Colby grabbed his arm. "Wheres the other room?"

"You mean my room? Across the hall, where it's always been."

"You're staying?" Mike nodded his head and continued out of the door. "Sam settle in I'll be right back."

Colby walked out of the room and followed Mike down the hall. "Mike." He turned around and looked at Colby. "Yeah?" Colby stepped up to Mike and pushed him into the other room, once in Colby shut the door behind them. "Cole you freak." Mike said with a laugh. "Shut up."

"Now what do you want, because i really want to know why Oliver, who is supposed to be dead, is in my house!" Colby shushed him and looked over his shoulder as if Sam would've appeared out of nowhere.

"I'll tell you later, i just wanted to know if you had another bed." Mike shook his head, "Nope, just the two."

"Great."

"Weren't you and Oliver like "involved" at one point." Colby pinched his nose and shook his head. "He isn't Oliver, he's Sam. Two different people." Mike nodded, "Whatever you say man, but either you guys share the bed or one of you sleeps in the chair. You guys can decide on that, I'm too tired. Goodnight." Mike pushed Colby out of the the room and shut the door behind him.

Colby walked back into the room with Sam and dumped his bag on the bed. "We only have this bed, one of us is gonna have to sleep in the chair or on the floor." Sam nodded and moved his blanket to the wooden chair in the corner of the room.

It was cold and hard, Sam couldn't imagine getting any sleep on it. But he sucked it up because he still felt a twinge of fear when he spoke to Colby, he couldn't dream of asking him to sleep in the uncomfortable chair.

The night moved on and Sam's eyes hadn't even closed for more than a second. It was three or four in the morning when Sam had enough of the chair. He looked down to the floor, which was also hard wood, and knew he would have a same problem down there as he did with the chair. After a few minutes of pondering, his eyes glanced over at the half empty bed. There was clearly more than enough room for his, and if he kept his back turned to the wall he wouldn't even have to see Colby. He could imagine it was only him in the bed.

"Just get in and stop staring at me." Colby said with his eyes half closed. Sam looked back over to the bed where Colby was lifting the sheets, inviting Sam into the bed. "How did you know?"

"I could feel your eyes on me." Sam huffed, "I wasn't even looking at you." Colby rolled his eyes, "Vampires can do weird things."

Sam got up from the chair and walked over to the bed. "You can read minds?" Sam meant for it to come out as a statement but it sounded like more of a question. "Yup."

"Well don't, it's weird." Colby nodded and flipped back over once Sam was in the bed. "Goodnight Sam." Colby said in a teasing tone, Sam didn't respond.
