You roll your eyes and scratch underneath Meowscarada's chin.

The woman with the piercing red eyes eagerly pulls you along, Meowscarada hot on your heels.

"It's your lucky day, Y/N! Actually... the luckiest year of your life!" the woman excitedly spouts. "I've been waiting for months, checked my emails at least forty times a day... and today's the day! I've just gotten access to Area Zero!"

You wince. "That big crater back in Paldea? Why would you wanna go down there? To get lost and die?"

The woman's eyes sparkle. "Well, you see..."

As her ramblings go on and on, Meowscarada has stopped following the two of you down the hall. Completely frozen, she stares down at her own two feet and replays the sound of that name in her head again and again.

Area Zero.

Her body begins to tremble and she isn't sure why.

"Area Zero," she whispers.

"That's the place I see in my dreams."
