A: Unrequited Reads

If I cried a tear for every unrequited read I have on Wattpad, my tears would fill a bathtub, maybe even a pond. Silly me thought that if I was kind enough to read other people's stories, then they would return the favor. Some people do, and some people don't. Maybe they are busy. Maybe they are Divas.

Divas, according to EpicCroft, have hundreds of followers, but they only follow 17. (Check out the book, What to . . . Do and Don't Do on Wattpad! It's awesome!)  Divas also don't reply back to comments on their stories. Don't be a Diva! (Great chapter and great advice!)

If people read your story and comment on it, please reply back to their comments and read their stories. It's called reciprocating and returning in kind, and it's the opposite of unrequited. Don't let your followers be unrequited readers!

One person, can't remember her name, referred to read-for-reads as bargaining. I disagree. It's not bargaining; it's reciprocation. If I use my precious time to read your story, then I would appreciate it if you would do the same. It's just common courtesy.

Thank you to all the courteous people who have read, commented, and even voted on my story. I will do the same for yours. (Some exceptions apply. See previous post.) If I haven't, please message me. I will apologize and get reading!
