1) Littering
Stop being lazy, litterbugs. Please put your trash in a garbage can. Nothing makes me madder than seeing trash, especially fast food containers and bags, along the highway. Stop throwing trash out of your car. The roadside is not your personal dumping grounds! Keep America beautiful, people!
And don't get me started on smokers who flick ashes out their car window. That's probably one of the reasons for the forest fires in the west.
2) Smoking
By now, people ought to know that smoking causes cancer. Why are people still smoking? Do they want to die a horrible, painful death? And cigarettes are so expensive! They could spend their money on much better things. Nothing makes me sicker than walking through toxic smoke outside of a building. (Thankfully, it's illegal to smoke inside of most public buildings.)
Yesterday, some of my coworkers were smoking outside of the cafeteria where I work, and I had an asthma attack before I even clocked in. Someday, those smokers will get emphysema, and then they'll know how I feel. It's terrifying when you can't breathe.
3) Bad Driving
Have you ever gotten behind a car that only goes one speed? 40 miles an hour in a 55 zone and a 25 zone. It's frustrating and scary. Turn off your cruise control, and go the speed limit. Don't people read speed limit signs anymore? They are posted to keep everyone safe. Though I have to admit, I usually drive five miles over the speed limit. Nothing gives me road rage faster than a slow driver. And why doesn't anyone use turn signals anymore? They just stop in front of you. Which way are you turning, buddy? It would be nice to know before you hit the brake pedal.
What things peeve you?
