Hi Lovelies,

Happy New Year!

We have a few hours before the countdown to midnight, but I hope to be asleep by then. 2019 was the worst year of my life. Losing Grammy Love was the sludge at the botttom of the pit called My Worthless Existence.

I'm so ready for a new start. To reword that famous last line from Gone with the Wind: Tomorrow is another year.

My crazy neighbors are setting off fireworks. They sound like popcorn in the microwave. So maybe, I will be awake at midnight. Everyone else in my family is in bed already. It's good that I'm an introvert and don't mind being by myself, or it might be depressing to drink my hot green tea with American Honey alone in the dark.

Adult beverages are one of the few privileges I enjoy about being over 21. Don't be in any hurry to grow up though. Independence and responsibility are overrated. Peter Pan, I need you. I want to fly to Neverland. If only I could remember where I hid the pixie dust.

Have any of you read a Peter Pan retelling? A Wattpad friend and I are searching for one. Or maybe, I'll just write one after I finish my other three novels.

Which reminds me of my main goal for 2020: To write at least 200 words a day to finish Only Time Would Tell.

What is your main goal for the new year?

I have lots more goals but completing OTWT is the most important. So please pester me to post a new chapter. Chapter 2 is half done. I'm having fun writing Melaney's story.

I also want to write one blog post a month on random topics, so ta-da! This is January's post. I enjoy other people's rambling, journal type entries so I'm just writng whatever pops into my head.

Freeform. I love that cable channel, especially The Fosters. Anyone else watch that show? I think it's still on Netflix.

I sit here coughing, having an annoying asthma attack. I need to nebulize soon or definitely no sleeping for me. Only an hour and a half until midnight in PA.

Did you choose a word for 2020 yet?

Mine is Restore.

I have so many things that need restored. Health and wealth for sure. Happiness would be great too, but I'm not holding my breath, because it's really hard for me to breathe.

I know you're having a better New Year's Eve than me. What did you do for fun tonight or tomorrow?

We're having pork, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes tomorrow for good luck in the new year. It's a PA Dutch/ German tradition.

Wishing you a healthy and happy new year!

Cheers,

Elle
