PREVIOUSLY ON WHEN HATRED BECOMES COMPULSORY...

"Greetings to you too," Sifeng replied with a little smile.

"The emperor's had a fever? He looked quite fine to me last night," Changgeng explained.

"Turn around for a moment,will you?"

"Consort Yu!"

"Have you seen Yu Sifeng?" 

....... '....... '....... '....... '

It felt quite awkward for the emperor to be asking me about his mischievous, yet super stunning consort.

I zoned out for a moment thinking of some unholy ideas when the emperor gave out a fake cough.

"You seem distracted. I asked a question, child."

The emperor just called me a child. What the freaking frogs?!!!!

I felt like fainting on the spot when the emperor cleared his throat. "We'll be holding a meeting in two hours. Get your act together."

Then he left. Changgeng turned to look at the reclining back of the emperor and exhaled loudly before making his way to Sifeng's manor.

Unexpectedly, Yu Sifeng had another visitor, the empress. He noticed the empress immediately, and hides before he could spot him.

He was careful enough to not be seen or heard by either of them, and he was lucky to be able to overhear their conversation.

"Did you reconsider my proposal?" Empress Yu Yushi asked.

"No," Yu Sifeng replied bluntly.

"The emperor is falling out of love for me, and you are doing nothing about it. The bit**y crown prince isn't making things better. Do something, you imbecile!" The empress was fuming now, yet Sifeng kept an emotionless face, and just stared at him.

"I don't want your money, if that's what you'd offer me in return," Sifeng finally spoke after watching Yu Yushi throw a tantrum like a child who was deprived of candy.

"What do you want me to offer you then?" Yu Yushi was astounded by the fact that Yu Sifeng didn't want money.

At least the old Yu Sifeng did.....

"I want to leave this empire without being recognized as a traitor," Yu Sifeng stated.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Jing empire."

"We're at war with them, you imbecile. The old fart's gonna think you betrayed the empire!" Clearly the situation at hand was draining Yu Yushi.

"Exactly."

"What do you mean?"

"I can't believe you grew so dumb over the years. You are going to give Han Jun a son after you frame me for killing the crown prince, right? So, before I get punished, I leave the country, and I frame you for using your authority to force me into treason."

Both Yu Yushi and Changgeng's jaw fell to the ground.

"What?!!!"
