The Day Before Arrival

One day in June of 2021...

Dear Diary,

Can you believe tomorrow is the first day at the camp I got into? It's meant to be a reality show, and I think it will help not only put myself out there, but also give representation to people who are like me. I don't really like...how do I say this in a way that's not weird...I just really don't like interacting without my pencil and notebook. It's like they're my comfort items in a way. Yeah, that sounds weird, never mind.

Back to the topic of camp. So, I and 13 other people will be going to this camp to be competing for a one million dollar prize. We're going to have two hosts with us. We don't know what the camp is going to look like, but there are rumors spreading around that wherever we're staying has cabins, which is honestly pretty neat if you ask me. There's a place to put all my pencils, my notebook, and this diary in, a drawer.

We're also divided into two teams, but no one knows who exactly picked them. Whoever it was, I hope my teammates aren't very bossy or mean to me just because of who I am. I just really hope there are other people with other differences there that can possibly be friends with me. I could always use some advice, just like the rest of the world. Whatever we do tomorrow, we'll sure be great at it! I can't wait to see the camp and meet my team! Whichever six I get, I really hope you're nice to me! I don't mean to sound repetitive, but I can't think of anything else to say. Guess I'll have to wait for the bus to pick me up!

Until tomorrow,

Your friend,

Drew
